Q: some financial advisors worry about the yield curve predicting difficult economic times to come sometime in the next year or two. Does this play a factor in your market models? Does it suggest caution? I would assume actual company results, earnings growth etc remain primary, but how does one incorporate this type of info without drowning in endless market noise?

Q: Lot of people seem interested in TVK, current valuation, and if it's worth starting a position. Could you please answer the same for BN and TOI? Given current prices, what would be a good entry point price in your view? Thank you again!
Q: I have an online account and a full service account. Do you have a site where I can see the 50/100/200 day moving averages. As well, with respect to the terms that are used by 5i and other analysts such as margins, cashflow, etc. can you tell me where I can find information about these type of terms? Thank you.

Q: Retired dividend income investors. We prioritize asset allocation in all of our portfolio decisions. We plan on capturing some income tax savings by selling the remaining shares of my wife's BNS, thereby offsetting other capital gains. I need to replace these funds in the same sector...ie: financials.
She leans more on the conservative side. Combined, we already have a full position in RY and other financials contained within ZLB, CDZ, ZWC, as well as AD.UN.
In the current declining interest rate environment, does HMAX fit the bill? As interest rates decline, what impact will this have on the share price? Should I assume that the capital appreciation will be fairly minimal, while the dividend maintains roughly where it is now?
I appreciate your help...as always.
Steve

Q: A major downgrade on this stock in the last day or 2 and quite a hit to the price as well when you consider most AI stocks appear to be on their way back up. Karl Ackerman is citing over supply of their memory chips which if lower prices result he would adjust his target price lower yet. Do you think this is accurate information, or perhaps almost like a short report. Can you go over their recent sales, EPS metrics and outlook? Please advise if you would buy this and if so at what price. Thank you.

Q: Hi - It's been a while since someone asked about EBAY, so was wondering what your current thoughts are?
Q: What are your thoughts on this company. I noticed it went down to $87.00 US for the second time and now it is starting to slowly climb. Is this a stock you feel one should be purchasing. What are to projections for 2025. Again thank you for your service and good work.
Q: After its huge drop Friday, CPH is down another 8% today. It said the failure of the clinical trials for Moberg's nail fungus medicine wouldn't impact sales or revenue "today" but how much was the market counting on this for the future? Does its failure really justify a 20% cut to CPH stock or is this way overdone?
Q: Can I ask your opinion on the new NIXT - Research Affiliates Deletions ETF?
I listened to an interview with Rob Arnott and the thesis of taking advantage of an index quirk makes a lot of sense at first glance.
Thank you!

Q: For a conservative dividend company, X stock had a rather large move during the past 12 months. Can you please comment on the current valuation, relative to its long-term valuation? Have the earnings roughly matched the increase in share price?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Hello 5i
What is the outlook for Salesforce over the next few years?
I’ve owned it for many years but am tempted to move on to better opportunities.
Thank you

Q: Wondering if 5i moderators could answer the questions alot earlier IE NOT > 11:00hrs EST especially after a weekend. It would be appreciated by the members that would prefer to have some insights before the markets open AND also allow them to read them before our respective work days start.
Q: Hi 5i Folks,
I am a "rare" questioner. And with 231 question credits. I am a low impact member.
I was fortunate to purchase CSU:CA many years ago when it was considered "an expensive stock". Well, it now has paid for my 5i Membership so far, and for the rest of my life. And I guess still considered "an expensive stock." Thank you 5i.
I just reviewed your most recent update, written in March, 2024. Since some time has passed, would it still earn a grade of "A".

Q: I am fortunate to be up 50% on my CM stock. Looking forward I am wondering which of the big six banks have the best growth potential. I am thinking that CM has a more limited growth potential after such a big move, but I also have been trying to resist the urge to sell stocks with good gains. Your input would be helpful. Note that taxes are not a concern- the shares are in an RRSP.
Q: For capital appreciation which of these 2 stocks would you prefer for a two year hold?
Thx

Q: Thoughts please on Mr. Nyland of Lumine being appointed to their board?

Q: Hello 5i Team
Finally Melcor Developments (MRD) has offered to take Melcor REIT (MR-UN) private at $4.95 with a closing date of late Q4 2024.
I note there is a one month "go shop" for MR-UN to possibly find a better deal, however with MRD owing ~55 %; MRD being the manager of the REITs properties; and the year long Strategic Review Process - is it even a possibility that MR-UN could find another buyer?
With MR-UN trading ~$4.80 should I sell my holdings and move onto another REIT? With only a 3 % difference I think there are other opportunities in the REIT space to replace MR-UN.
What would be 5i top names in the REIT space to replace MR-UN (can be a different sub-sector from MR-UN's operations).
Thanks
