Q: Does it matter price-wise if you buy a stock before/after the dividend is paid? Is it the same answer if you buy before/after it goes ex-dividend? I am a long term investor so wondering if there is any significant savings to trying to time the purchase a bit?

Q: Good Morning,
Can you recommend any Asian ETFs which exclude China? I have enough Chinese investment but no direct SE Asian exposure.
Do you think this would be a good investment at this time?

Q: Hi,
When you provide a % allocated to gold, should we add our stocks and bullion together?
For example, I own KL and WM in terms of stocks and also PHYS. I always see the stocks as an type of investment and PHYS as another (commodity/currency) and don't really add them together when looking at the % of the portfolio. is this a mistake?
I know they are closely linked but would appreciate your thoughts on how investors should view these when setting up their portfolios.

Q: I am thinking of selling these three companies currently held in a growth portfolio to make way for some higher growth tech names. I do have the cash in my RRSP and could buy these stocks back in that portfolio but wonder if you have any better suggestions?
