Q: Hi Team,
NVEI announced partnership with CASH APP yesterday. I had expected this to be a bigger deal than the market is telling us. It seems nothing can move the needle with this name. Is it being constantly held down by the shorts? Is it worth holding on to? I am down huge in this name (-78%), and so far, it doesn't seem to be recovering.

Q: Peter and gang,I just checked out my rate of return since inception on the acct. that holds your balanced portfolio and it is an amazing 500%.I do use margin to some extent and I have DOL and FFH in the acct,but don't have TRI and IFC,I also swapped CM for BN and PHY for AEM.I have been a member 5I pretty well since inception because I was a big fan of Peter's on Market Call.Also,in my other accts.,before I buy a stock I always check what 5I has to say about it!!!So thanks again,I couldn't be happier!!!

Q: is there any upside at all to this company because exactly a year ago today well was at $3.85 per share and today it is at $3.72 per share. I have lost my patience with this company can you please suggest a better company that might have potential in the next year or 2 thank you

Q: I noticed that LTV has halted trading. Looks like they are selling their assets and patents and will try to remain on the TSXV in hopes of finding something to buy or engage in a reverse takeover. Couple of questions
1) is company dead and simply taking a last breath or is there any hope at all
2) if it does stay on the TSXV but move down to the "NEV Board", what does that mean and can the shares be traded on the NEV Board just as easily as they trade today on the "tier 2 platform"? What is the difference between the NEV board and the tier 2 platrform?
3) what would you do?

Q: If I have to trim Tech to get more diversification, what would be your top three picks in each of Basic Materials, Utilities and Industrials. They can be either Cdn or US companies or a combination thereof. Thanks

Q: My investment club was looking at buying into Triton International only to realize that it was acquired by Brookfield but still has preferred shares listed from the original company.

The original intent was that we are a buy-and-hold type group and were looking for a reliable dividend payer in the shipping industry. We are interested in still going through with purchasing the preferred A shares but the group is all pretty new to DIY and do not have experience with this type of holding.

Are there any additional unknowns that we should be watching out for here? Do these preferred shares have an expiry or carry any additional risk?

Q: NVDA now compromises 9% of my total portfolio. What's the maximum weight YOU would be comfortable with? Alternatively, would you consider selling - say - 2% of NVDA and buying VRT? Q: The ETF, HXS pays no dividend. So if HXS was held in a RESP account, can one avoid the US 15% withholding on dividends, because HXS pays no dividend, whereas ZSP held in a RESP account would be subject to the 15% withholding tax, because it does pay a dividend. Thanks … Cal
