Could you provide 5-6 stocks in Canada that will benefit the most from an increasing US dollar and that you like for investment purposes right now
Please rank based on best expected performance over the next 12 months.
Do you believe the US dollar will continue to appreciate over this time period?
Please exclude commodity sector.

Q: Hello Peter,

Could you please provide an insight on how stock prices tend to behave when a private placement is announced as in case of Tio Networks. Does it kind of set a floor? Does the price trend down after the closing date of Jan 28. I have been keeping an eye with the intention of taking a position but given its fast rise and the present market conditions, have been apprehensive of doing it right now.

Q: Hi,

I know you mentioned Teck wasn't quite a buy yet back in December, but the stock has since been cut in half (again). Do you think it's a buy for the riskier part of a portfolio given it's strong near term liquidity, debt maturity profile (2017 onwards) and ability to raise cash via asset sales if it must.

The share price fall seems a bit overdone at these levels, but welcome your views.

Q: Hi team,
Ithaca today released it's 2016 guidance,and again the Stella project that was scheduled for March is now to be completed third quarter of this year.Short term the stock price is hitting 52 week lows ,day after day. They also have edged 52% of their production at 60$ a barrel until 2017and reduced their debt by 20%.Would this now be a value play or is it still to early to look for this as a good entry point?

Q: Hi. I would like your opinion of osl.un. I have held it for a number of years and it has consistently paid a 5% dividend. Recently they announced that its forward agreement with BNS has expired in November. Since then the share price has gone down considerably. Would this be a good time to sell off or is it just a blip that will correct itself later. My time frame before I have to start withdrawals is 3 years.
What does this "forward agreement" actually mean?

Q: I have 50% cash in my RRSP and I recently purchased a half position in Boardwalk REIT to take advantage of the large sell off. I would like to add U.S. multifamily housing exposure as well and I am debating between Tricon Capital Group and Milestone Group. Which would you prefer for U.S. housing exposure. I intend to hold the positions for the medium term (2-3 years).

Q: I would think that as the market continues to go down the chances of someone taking out CSE for a premium price goes down as well. If you owned CSE would you be selling today as a lot of better quality names have fallen in the last 10 days? THANKS
