Q: Hi Team,

I am holding some cash that I intend to hold for 12 -15 months at which time I will be closing on some real estate and will need the money. Do you have any recommendations for a safe 12-15 month hold for these funds where there is still some opportunity for a modest return?

Q: Peter; There is a article today detailing how our tar sands producers, CNQ, SU, CVE, could benefit greatly from Mexico sharply reducing their export of heavy crude. My question is when the crude enters the various pipelines in Ft.McMuarray and eventually arrives at the east coast refining complex- at what point do they get paid and what price do they receive? And does ENB get paid based on price,volume etc? Thanks.

Q: Trying to figure out the dynamics of this stock as considering buying for my TFSA as an admittedly risky ( speculative ) venture.
It has a high institutional holding and would they not see share dilution as the worst of possibilities to raise capital ? A takeover ( at a reasonable) would seem to be a better alternative for them. Do you know how much the individual directors own ? Their Board does seem experienced and while they did let costs get ahead of them, they did take decisive action by firing the President and founder of the company. What is your assessment of them getting the Magino mine up and running at expected costs ? I am considering buying , so ask you do I wait until we know the financing or take a chance with a 3 - 6 % position buying now or gradually ? Thanks Derek

Q: I am looking to add to the utilities sector. I currently have FTS BIP.UN and AQN. Not really excited about AQN for the last year. I would like to add to my utility stock basket and looking for recs. Also might drop AQN. My horizon is 7-10 yrs.

Q: Hi 5i

Given that FSZ valued its own company share price at $9.80 ($34.89/3.56), why should investors be paying a premium to buy this stock today ($10.20 after decline)?

With new CEO in place now, what is to say he doesn't decide to cut the dividend that we all seem to be hanging around for these days?

Q: Why renewables have been down so much and for so long even though their fundamentals are strong ? They were down before interest rates started creeping up. Pipelines, which are also interest rate sensitive, are doing OK.

Q: I see INE has dropped nearly 50% in last year. It offers a dividend over 4% now.
I like the sector, and the giant investment to be announced this week for offshore windmills on the U.S. East coast might help sentiment of the depressed sector and tenders should follow suit to support ongoing growth.
How would you assess this security in light of an income account at this point?
