Q: Good Morning to All
I wish to clarify my previous question on Asset Allocation. I simply want your opinion on how I should allocate my three High Conviction Funds, Canadian, U.S. and International by %. I do not intend to increase my total equity. Sorry for the confusion.

Q: I have losses and 2% positions in each of these companies in a well diversified portfolio. Do you suggest moving on and selling any of these, especially after the gov't mortgage rule changes. What replacements might you suggest. I already own TD, BNS and SLF at 3% each.

Q: Hello 5i,

I currently hold Genworth, and have held it for a few years. I am wondering if after the new mortgage rules announced today if it's worth holding. Considering that 50-55% of their current clientele would be not be eligible for mortgage insurance under the new rules, what adjustments can they do to maintain their current earnings level? Is the dividend safe considering these facts? Is it worth holding considering the constraints to future business under the new rules?

Q: I owned COS from the IPO and was always happy with the yield. Now, of course, I own Suncor and am not happy with the yield. I am thinking of selling SU and buying a preferred share ETF, either ZPR or CPD or perhaps both, for the yield. What do you think? I am retired and living off dividend income.

Q: I'm down considerably on HCG. Do you think it's a good strategy to sell it, get the tax loss on it and buy MIC instead? Are they comparable quality companies?

After almost two years should I change my asset allocation? I have 40% of my portfolio in 3 High conviction equity funds, Canadian, U.S., and International. What % would you suggest at this time? Other holdings are mainly income with a few specialty holdings.
