Q: I have USA stocks with a value of 120K with Canadian Broker.
Do I need to fill out Form T1135 and if yes which box do you think it applies to me.

As per simplified reporting method
I need to check boxes that apply to me
Funds Held outside Canada
Shares of non-resident corporation (other than foreign affiliates)
Indebtedness owed by non-resident
Interest in non-resident trusts.

Q: Hi, I have the above stock in non registered account. As of today I lost $4000 US , bought it at 102 and now $67 $ US. What do you recommend? Sell it and claim loss or wait till it recover or add more to it. I added to it when it became $70 US. But it seems it is not doing well. I appreciate your ultimate decision on it or if there is any US solid stocks that you recommend. Thanks

Q: Hi, I just noticed IRD is being sold to Wilan for cash. Should I sell now or wait for the transaction to happen? how sure is the sale to go through? Will the company still exist as a seperate company or will it just blend into Wilan?

Q: Further to your reply re this stock. Morningstar reports that this company reports a dividend of 0.11 cents a year with a dividend yield of 6.35%. Is this a mistake or just a one time dividend for 2016. Tnx for all your hard work.

Q: hello 5i:
a question of a technical nature. I hold Telus and BCE, not quite full positions. In our area, Telus has just upgraded to the 4G network; yet, I read that both AT&T, and Verizon, are upgrading to 5G networks. Will this put Telus behind the curve, and will shares suffer as a result? Are any of the Canadian companies upgrading to 5G networks, or is this even relevant (ie, they'll play catch-up and it won't matter?)
