Q: Hi Peter,

I have been following your model portfolio and have greatly benefited from it. Thanks so much for your great recommendations.

I would like to ask for your advice on some non-tech US stocks. The stocks are:

- Abbot (ABT)
- Buffalo Wild Wings (BWLD)
- Celgene (CELG)
- Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG)
- Echo Global Logistics (ECHO)
- McCormick & Co (MKC)
- Restaurant Brand (QSR)
- Starbucks (SBUX)
- Yum Brand China (YUMC)
- Yum Brand (YUM)

Would you also be able to suggest some other US non-tech stock alternatives, as well as some small caps?

My investment time horizon is 15-20 years.

Q: I have owned AX for 3 yrs, averaged down 1 time but still underwater, recently took small positions in KWH & DR.Interested in BRE. Looking for safety, growth, and dividends. Should I sell AX put the proceeds into BRE or spread the proceeds evenly among KWH, BRE, DR. Perhaps you could rank these four.

Q: I am considering converting the holdings in our investment account from the couch potato to a dividend portfolio consisting of the 4 etfs listed. In both cases cash replaces the bond component. I want to draw a larger dividend from the portfolio. Do the 4 etfs provide satisfactory diversification and how do you see the pros and cons of implementing this change. Thanks

Q: Hi 5i,

I sold EMA in my RRSP last week just before it dropped.
I want to replace it with 2 Utilities in my RRSP and 1 in my TFSA. What Utility stocks would you pick today?
These are income portfolios with approx 5% per position.

Q: Just a comment to Nino's earlier question about CDZ: at the end of February 2017 Aimia was the largest weighting at 3.15% of that fund (according to iShares website). With the loss of the Air Canada contract and subsequent cancellation of the dividend it would have been delisted from the index (can't find a link to that on S&P though). Seems to me there would be recent losses and distribution cuts to the fund especially from Aimia's fall plus any other changes in holdings. Fair to say situations like that make yield-driven weighting riskier?

Q: Hello 5i team,
In a recent response to Stanley you said you would consider a pension as fixed income. Tha is not new. But, i was wondering whether you could give a rough approximation of the value of a pension, say arbitrarily, a pension of $30,000 per year, in terms of a percentage of fixed income. Say in a portfolio of one million, if that helps to clarify my question.
