Q: Jean asked about converting USD to CDN and you replied with Questrade steps. For TD I use the following: https://creditcarrots.com/norberts-gambit-td-direct-investing/ It is important to follow exactly i.e., when selling click the sell button on top right NOT the sell button beside the DLR shares. Or just call TD when ready to sell.

Q: Hello, I own Aritzia stock. I purchased it at its lowest point in 2023, and now it has increased by 63%. The company’s quarterly earnings release is scheduled for July 11. However, I have concerns that the earnings may not be ideal. To preserve my profit, I’m considering either selling the stock or buying a put option. It’s important to note that this stock is in my cash account, so selling it would have tax consequences. I would greatly appreciate your professional advice. Thank you!

Q: Hi 5i, upto now many US retailers are reporting lower numbers and guidance, even HD guided lower. I really like this company and thinking things might get worse for the US consumer thereby making even lower guidance by HD. So based on current valuation is HD a good buy, and historically how has it behaved in past downturns. Thx.

Q: Good morning 5i,
I just read your excellent report on Canadian companies which could rebound with a changing economic environment, especially concerning rate cuts. You mentionned AQN and a Brookfield clean energy company.

I imagine the same dynamics would hold for US stocks. I was wondering specifically, whether ICLN might be an American company similar to the Canadian ones you mention?
