Im looking into investing into the healthcare sector in the US market. What companies would you recommend for growth?

Q: Hello
I have a 17 months and a 6 yrs old. I did very well on my 6 yrs old RESP and now wondering if I should get a separate RESP for my 17 months or switch to a joint account. Any recommendations? Any benefits having a joint account assuming only one of the 2 would reach University for example? If all things equal I would prefer to manage a single but bigger portfolio.

Q: I am managing my 83 year-old mom’s TFSA ($64,000.00) and Investment Account ($25,000.00). She contributes $6000 yearly ($500.00 monthly) to the Investment account and $5,500.00 to the TFSA.

I am thinking of purchasing the Mawer Tax Effective Balanced Fund (MAW 105) which comprises 30% Canadian Fixed Income; 2.5% Global Fixed income, 7% Cash, and 60% Equities (Canadian, US, and Global) and a ETF Bond Fund such as Ishares CBO. What percent of each would you suggest I purchase of each or should I just purchase MAW 105. She doesn’t need the money for spending. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks. Susan

Q: I can't add to my RIF, I can't put more than $5,500 in my TFSA annually, so my unregistered cash account is holding shares that will mean major capital gains. I have trimmed periodically, but currently ATD.B is up 1,068 %, SQ up 119%, NVDA up 324%, SHOP up 207%, BYD.UN up 118%. I am not complaining. I offer 5i my sincere thanks for your advice over several years that has been so rewarding. I tend to hold overly long , so I am wondering whether I should in future sell when a stock has reached, say 40%, and buy another stock? What to do?

Q: It is now clear that money laundering has been occurring at some of GC's casinos in BC. In particular at the River Rock casino. The Director of VIP Guest Relations has had her registration revoked by the BC Lottery Corp. GC is being investigated by the RCMP and it appears that GC could suffer other financial penalties. Should this be a concern and should investors be cautious?

Q: Peter and Team:
I already hold TV in a basket of stocks primarily picked from your balanced portfolio. I am pretty much even since purchase.
What are your thoughts about a switch to Teck.b.
I realise it is a larger company and more diversified, but wonder if there is a big difference in risk/reward between the two.
