Q: There has been a lot of talk about a housing correction in Canada. I am interested in your views of how this could impact the Canadian stock market and what would be the most vulnerable sectors and stocks? Also, would this tip us into a recession?

Q: In her TFSA my wife currently has 28% between i shares CBO and CLF; about 18% each of SLF, STN and BMO. We are about to add this year's $10,500 which will leave us about $18,000 to put to use. What three stocks would you recommend? Add more to SLF and STN? Add WSP ?;. She would be willing to add more growth potential. Any other ideas? Thanks for your sound advice.

Q: Hi 5i team,
Questrade sends me an alert if there is trading volume 2x or higher the average volume for stocks I own. Today I received an alert in regards to Sylogist at 12:31. The volume was between 4-5x average, yet the price had not moved 1 cent all day to that point. This may be a silly question, but how can this trading activity be explained?

Q: Is there any benefit to owning this US hotel REIT when the CAD starts to appreciate vs. the USD? Although the distribution is paid in CAD, they must do all other business in USD. If this is true, will there be any concerns if/when either currency makes a big move in the other direction?
(Thank you in advance for helping me understand details like this. My overall portfolio is taking a beating, but I'm definitely learning a LOT :)

Q: I am thinking of taking a flyer on TDG in the risk oriented portion of my portfolio.It would not be more then 2%. I reviewed the Q 3 results and noted the div cut and unsurprising weak results. Question is do they have the moxie to survive and thrive going forward if I am looking at a longer term time horizon. I am always looking for beating down stocks in weak sectors that I feel I can reasonable expect a double on, is this a suitable pick? Thanks guys
