Q: Would you please review the key metrics for VGR and let me know what you think of this company as a reliable source of income and some growth. Would VGR be impacted significantly by interest rate increases?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: I have been into and out of RUF a couple of times but do not own it right now.
Currently I like the 6.7% yield and am thinking that it is well priced with the drop in share prices. But with the new equity offering just announced, I am wondering if I should wait in the expectation of further price declines or if this would be a good buying opportunity.
What do you think? Are there other REITs that you would rank significantly highter than RUF?
Thanks.

Q: Hello. What is your take on National Bank?
Q: Hello Peter and company,
Do you think that the energy stocks (CPG, VET, etc) will come under pressure in December as institutional investors will try to get rid off them so that their year-end statements look good? Or this type of selling has been done already?

Q: Hi, in your response to my question on TCN you asked what my portfolio allocation was. It is currently 2.8 percent of my equity holdings. I was going to bump it up to 3.5 percent. Would that make sense or does this change your answer? Most of my other positions are between 3.5 and 4 percent.
Q: I am thinking of averaging down on this U.S. company. Should I wait until tax loss season is over and is this a good safe stock for a long term hold?
thanks
thanks

Q: I am looking at losers in my US portfolio for tax loss selling. Considering building cash to buy Cal-Maine Foods, Visa and Pepsico. Which of the following stocks would you consider candidates, out of Polaris, Sodastream and Bed Bath & Beyond? The stocks all seem to have good fundamentals especially BBBY (as you remarked in an earlier question from January 2014). Would you endorse the switch?
Q: I am on a huge loss with Teck. it is now one half percent of my holdings. My cost is 28 per share. I do not have much other exposure to mining besides some gold fund. My question is , I would like to book a capital loss but keep some exposure to the sector. Would be FM a good candidate? Or should I be better off to exit the sector altogether?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: I am retired and am mainly looking for income and some growth. I own TRP, ALA, IPL and PPL. I am down on ALA, IPL and PPL. I am thinking of selling IPL and PPL for a capital loss to offset some gains and replace them with ENB. While the dividend will be lower with ENB, I am thinking it will have more overall growth, including dividend growth. Thoughts ?
Q: Recent strategic review. At a major turning point. The product appears to have potential. Speculative . For a speculative play at what point do you enter. Before or after results of current review.

Q: Hello Peter & Team, in your response to a recent question about Merck versus BMY, you refer to the Valuation of Merck. What does Valuation mean? How do you define Valuation? You say that MRK valuation is about half the valuation of BMY, and has much more debt than BMY. Still, you prefer Merck. Thanks, Gervais
