Q: Good morning,

Curious as to your thoughts on SNC's news this morning. I bought earlier in the week and will be curious to see how the market reacts. Assuming you are listing to the earnings call, can you share your thoughts on the company following that? Specifically what, if anything, have we learned that my impact the company positively or negatively moving forward. I would also be curious to know what your thoughts are on the dividend cut (not why I bought it).

Q: I have what I think is sort of a 'big' question. I am looking at various ways to help my performance through an eventual recession. I know that timing it is virtually impossible and even calling it (as we saw this fall) is extremely difficult also. So my research now turns to what are the characteristics of a company that will do well (in all likelihood) after a recession, or indeed right around the middle when equities seem to turn higher given that the big losses usually start just ahead of the actual recession and the buying often starts while the recession is still in full bloom. I look at GUD as one company that holds cash and is deal oriented (or is supposed to be) as a kind of exemplar for this type of idea. Any others? Or is this just a mug's game? Thank-you and please deduct whatever credits you deem necessary. Thankyou.

Q: I have made very good returns in 2018 on Canopy Growth and HMMJ and have since sold all positions. I am considering a base position totaling 3 to 5% for a long term hold. As clarity evolves over long term performance I can adjust my holdings. How would you rank the three names given or would it be most prudent to diversify across all three initially?

Q: I own all of the above in roughly equal weights in my TFSA. I am attempting to replicate your Balanced Equity Portfolio. I am also trying to get more defensive. I think I am overweight in the Info Tech sector. I am looking at a 5 year hold. I have cash to buy another position. What would your advice be - hold the cash or make a purchase. If purchase what would be your recommendation for defensive position?
