Q: What are your thoughts on Q2 results for Quarterhill ? They have a market cap of $230 m , but net cash of $136 m . Have they received their US$109 court award from Apple yet ? They are buying back 10% of their shares , but that still leaves a lot of cash that they seem to be allocating to M & A activity . Would not a dividend increase or a special dividend be appropriate in these circumstances ?

Q: Can you comment on SVM’s latest earnings? Don you like their prospects? Any other comments? Thanks!
Q: Hi 5i,
What are your thoughts on both Corning and retractable technologies?
The thought would be to invest in companies that have to deliver the vaccine. Would you consider these a buy and if so, what would be your target price for each.

Q: Good morning 5i,
With the European green deal and Biden's plans to attack climate change, should result in solar panel and wind power installations, and with so much money being allocated to infrastructure projects, which companies could benefit from these two investments by Governments..
Thanks you for your much appreciated help.
Carlo

Q: Can I please have your thoughts and analysis on BEP. UN's recently announced earnings. Is this stock a keeper?
Q: Can you comment on earnings and what you think lies ahead. Good time to add to position?
Q: The q numbers, are not a surprise to me...are they better or worse than your expectations? It is the comments found in the president's message also in the Outlook section of the release which I need help deciphering, They sound very positive; do you buy all these opportunities for qst, all the optimism she talks about? How much of this is company spin?
Q: Hello Peter, many individual investors (certainly I) have terrible timing on their transactions. For example, if one has been following Becton Dickinson, looking to buy, one might be happy to see this morning's 8% drop and immediately place their order. How do you handle this type of situation? Wait and see where the dust settles? Jump on the 'new lower price'? Or wait some days or weeks to see a base and an upturn? Would you be comfortable buying BDX today, for the long term?
Q: Do you have any updated thoughts on Copa Holdings? Market seems to be ok with results this morning. I'd like to step in at some point, but if their restart keeps getting pushed out month by month, can they survive for long?
Q: Good morning 5i,
I appreciated your recent article, as usual. I find them helpful to understand what is going on in the investing world. You mention that the fang stocks comprise most of the gains over the past few months and that much of the market hasn't kept up. Some people are talking about a rotation out of technology into I suppose, more value oriented stocks. I don't know if this thesis is true. The Fangs seem to keep going up. But, do you think it might be a time to start a switch for a cautious investor? If so, would rsp , an equal weight US market etf, and brk, probably the definition of value, be a good way to approach this change
thanks

Q: Hi there,
Can I please have your opinion on the results of these 3 companies? I know you are a big fan of them - particularly AYX and TTD.
Thanks

Q: Tax loss versus growth considerations question. Holding ENB for several years and still below water. Have held PPL for a couple of years prior to recent meltdown and recently decided to sell PPL to realize tax loss using TRP as proxy for next several weeks until 30 day period has expired. Looking at your recent answers to questions on these 3 pipeline operators (I only need two, maybe one) and considering TRP focus on a friendlier fossil fuel firmament USA got me to thinking that maybe I should just hang on to TRP despite Keystone and Crooked Joe threats rather than going back to PPL after 30 day period is up... In your view which of the 3 companies have the better growth prospects in USA space given all three are down in this negative fossil fuel energy space? Portfolio is growth/income focused tilted mostly to equities. Retired but do not depend on portfolio income.
Q: Both are going thru the roof but the last 2 or 3 days the stocks are not
following up in fact today are declining.

Thanks
Peter

Q: Their 1st q numbers look good. The company's share buy-back from Sebag at $2.00 looks brilliant ( divorce sucks). This stock may be an interesting way to invest in gold sector. Any analyst coverage and if so, what was predicted?
Q: Hi, could you please comment on Parkland earnings. Thanks
Q: Are there any silver juniors you think are worth looking at? My risk appetite is high and I am mainly looking to add a junior to complement my PAAS position and hopefully provide a bit more 'torque'. Thanks.
