Q: DOL seems to be going out of favor with investors as the stock is drifting downward. With the current thesis by many that we are heading towards recession, does it make sense that consumers will "shop" more at a Dollarama when that happens? Would you continue to hold on, add on further weakness or move on to something else? It is currently a 2% (Half) position.

Q: Further to your answer on the packaging companies, i have owned all three and done well across the board. I was planning on consolidating my stocks and reducing by one. Several months ago you recommended to drop WPK of the 3. You have rated them slightly differently on this latest question . Can you tell me why - is this a valuation, size or other call? As you can see, i have been dragging my feet on reducing only because i am trying not to sell my winners. I do like CCL.b the best as i can hold it on the us side of my portfolio and collect the dividend in US$.

Q: Due to higher minimum wages, lower Canadian Dollar, fear of trade wars, ,Dollarama has been under pressure. As a result they need to increase prices to restore their profit margins
Do you think markets will react favorably if Dollarama increases their Ceiling price from $4.00 to $5.00 ?

Q: My portfolio lacks a serious commitment to technology although it is reasonably well balanced across the remaining sectors emphasizing a conservative income approach. To address the tech sector, I thought I would start easy, as it were, by investing in either ZQQ or XQQ. For an investor in his mid seventies, with a low comfort level in most things tech, that would appear to me to be the way to go. Appreciate your view.

Q: Good Morning,

My daughter's RESP has the following stocks. I have added some CSU because I simply can't pass up the buy opportunity on this weakness. I am overweight in IT now, what would you recommend for an 8 yr horizon please.

Current holdings:
BNS, CSU, DSG, DHX, ENB, ECI, HR.UN, KBL, MUX, RHT, STN, SLF, TSGI. She also has 3 ETF - US Dividend, Emerging Markets, Nasdaq Indexed all equal weight.

Q: I was trying to find a question about this but without success. This is such an expensive stock and I know you like and it has done well. I wonder why they would not do a split to make the stock more affordable? I notice also that you do not have it any of your sample portfolios - is this why?

Q: Lithium Americas Corp
The share price has basically dropped by approximately 50% YTD. With such a decline in the share price over the past several months, I would like to know what your opinions are on the reasons for such a decline? Do you consider it still a good investment or are there other companies that would be a better investment. What potential do you see coming out of their 50% interest in Minera Exar and the developing of the Cauchari-Ocaroz lithium project in Jujuy Argentina.
