Q: Greetings,
I am specifically interested in finding out about NWH & BIP but as a general "rule of thumb", are international holdings better held in RRSP accounts irrespective of them being listed on TSX?

Q: I'm often sitting with ~$5K-$10K in cash reserves, which sit in my TFSA/RRSP account while I wait to decide how to invest that money. Usually the money sits for a Quarter or more. What are your thoughts on investing the money into XBB instead of letting it sit in cash? It pays a 2.95% Yield and historically has been fairly stable (thought it has dropped in value this year).
Given my time-frame, do you think its worth investing the money into XBB while I wait to decide how to invest, or better to simply have the money sit in cash?

Q: In answer to Stuart, who was looking for somewhere which would give him information on his stocks, I have found that Yahoo Finance does a good job of this. Once you put in your list of stocks you'll get a grabbag of the latest stories at the end of the list every day. Or you can click on any given stock, page down past the usual financial information like the stock chart for today and find the latest story on it, including earnings releases. Works for both US and Canadian stocks.

Q: I have a question about 3135
Would you buy RA or GSBD or both or none for income. Both seem stable enough. Dividend probably safe do you agree ? Difficult for me to assess risk. I like that one is backed by Brookfield, the other by Goldman, or does that matter anymore.

Q: Caldwell Partners' stock price has been trending higher with trading volumes slightly higher too. I believe this is anticipation to fiscal 2018 results most likely due out next week and maybe a dividend increase too. Given the Company's strong balance sheet should the stock not trade at dividend yield of 5% or less implying a stock price of $1.75 prior to any dividend increase with more upside potential thereafter based on results and outlook for fiscal 2019?

Q: The Globe and Mail seems to have dropped their Stocklist function which used to enable me to go to Stocklist and then bring up all news on my Stocklist including earnings releases and other news. Is there another site offering a similar function. Cannot understand the change at the Globe and Mail it was the most useful feature they had.

Q: I have capital gains for the year and I am looking at selling the losers to help reduce the tax hit. I have a loss on TSGI and I am wondering if/when I should sell. I like the company and would want to replace the stock after the 30 day period. Given the next earnings report is Nov 7 is it better to sell before or after that date or is timing even worth considering?

Q: I am looking to add a growth-oriented stock to a pretty conservative bluechip portfolio, with investments in financials, energy/resources, telecommunications, drug/healthcare and transportation - mostly in Canada. I believe I could benefit from more growth-oriented stocks in other sectors and have recently acquired small positions in GC and TSGI. What growth-oriented stocks would you take right now, keeping in mind that I am a DIY newbee with only a modest ability to read statements and analyze risk
