Q: I have some cash parked in HSAV and noticed that, for the past month, the trading there follows the same pattern, the price is up during the morning and mid-day and then drops at the end of the day. As a result, the price remained practically the same for the past month and the difference between the NAV and price is now down to only 20c. I am wondering what's going on with this ETF? Looks like some investors are doing massive selling there, do they know something I don't? Is HSAV is still you preferred "cash parking" ETF for people in high-tax bracket?

Q: DOCS; As I understand matters while this issue reported very good progress in its last earnings statement the investment community seems luke warm so I wondered what contributed to their last earnings and whether the improvement was durable, or not, while on TMDX the projections are quite aggressive against the backdrop of a poor quarter, so once again I am curious as to what triggered their poor performance in the last reported quarter and whether the service they offer is unique or copied/ replicated by others. Look forward to your response.

Q: Forums

If you dig deep enough in the web site (Click on members, then click on Start Here, scroll down to the last choice ) you'll find forums.

There are not many participants in these forums.

5i felt it was worthwhile to have a forums section, perhaps you could comment on some of the reasons 5i subscribers might want to participate in these forums.

I also posted this question in the forums section (Brokerages and research tools) if anyone wants to add to 5i's answer.

Q: Do the banks or credit unions insure an account up to 100 000 or
250 000. If a person has 1 000 000 and the amount actually is 250 000
does that mean you need four different banks or does four different accounts
work?

Q: I am looking at TD index funds for a youngish person with no interest in investing. TDB655 is listed as currency neutral, the other as currency diversified. What is the difference and which is the most conservative? ( I don't know what either actually means)

Thanks

Q: DEAR 5-I:
Thanks for the information on Parex, however, there was a second part to the question. If I dispose of Parex because it is doubtful if the political situation will improve in the near term- what could you suggest for a replacement, CNQ-? already own a full position in Suncor, ARC, Baytex, Tourmaline, and TVE. How about Peyto?

Thanks, Ben

Q: Hello Team 5i,

You mention the following for Algonquin Power in your Nov. 19 Tax loss screener :
‘We don’t think investors should try to catch the bottom in AQN at any price until the company manages to reduce its debt levels to conservative levels.’

Apparently, the company is trying to sell its renewables to raise money and reduce its debt load. The question becomes, in this post Trump world where renewables have suddenly become a buzz word for undesirable assets, how will the company be able to raise a reasonable amount to achieve its goals? And if it can’t what will ‘any price’ will be for you ?

As always, thanks for your valuable insight.

Adel

Q: I bought this stock about 3 years ago at $2.85 and today it is about $3. I choose to have my dividends reinvested so today have an additional 300 shares but my Adjusted Cost Base has also gone up accordingly. I am ahead very little considering the length of time invested. Do you have any suggestions on income vs growth? Am I better to continue this dividend reinvestment or just sell the stock and move on, or just move to cash dividends? Thank you.
