Q: Hi Peter, Ryan & Team, If you were to pick 5 Stocks in the mid to large cap companies in the Industrial sector for a 5 year hold, which ones would you choose. Presently I have WSP, BAD & TNC for a 12.39% of my portfolio.

Q: There are few renewable companies but lots of money to invest in them. Will they become artificially inflated?
Is is better to go direct to GE, Easton, Emerson Electric etc.
10 years ago Coal companies were doing well but bankrupt now.
In 20 years will we need all of these pipelines?
I believe there will be millions of oil sands barrels left in the ground in Alberta.

Q: Any concerns about Mitel's debt levels? Like that fact they guided upwards, made a small debt re-payment and stock seems cheap. Good buy here at these prices?

Q: Would now be a good entry point for Denison? Would Cameco be better?

Q: I own SPB @ 7% of the portfolio. I plan on buying ZUT for utility holdings, but notice that SPB represents 8% of the ZUT portfolio. In looking at the other holdings in ZUT, SPB seems out of place. Would you hold both or divest SPB? Thanks

Q: anyone experiencing problems with webbroker today. I was unable to make trade for the most part of the day!

Q: Just a comment about the recent interest in PTG. Several years back when I had a broker account, they bought PTG (as some type of debenture I believe) for my account. The interest payments were good. I then left the broker taking the PTG holdings with me. In 2013 I was notified by PTG that the debentures were being turned in shares and was asked if I wanted cash or shares for my holdings. I opted for cash and a few weeks later I was told that cash was no longer and option - I would have to take the shares. Obviously I was not happy about this. The stock finally started trading. It came out around .75 cents and in a matter of a few days (when I finally found it it had started trading) it was down in the .29 cent area. With a break-even of .42 cents I held on and finally got out recently at .46 cents.
The bottom line of my story here is that I don't think this management is worthy of any level of trust. It's obvious that they will do whatever benefits them and cannot be trusted to keep their word. I wouldn't go near this company with a 10' pole!

Q: Hi Peter and Team. I would like to sell my hudbay shares and replace them with shares in a similar company that concentrates in zinc and copper. Also a company with less debt and more insider ownership. Do you have any suggestions. Thanks.

Q: Given its record of steady dividend increases and high yield, why is its share price so depressed over the last few years? It looks like a "number perfect" investment to me. So I'm thinking about taking a position in AD and I just don't want any surprises. Please help me out here.

Q: What is the best way calculate EPS Growth. I have noticed it is very erratic from one analyst to another. Should I use historical or future estimates to get the most accurate growth rate?

Q: I would like to invest 10% of my portfolio in an international ETF and was wondering what you'd suggest. I'm thinking developed might be better than emerging markets and less volatile? I'd also like to go hedged to the Canadian dollar because I currently have 20% in US stocks, and feel that adding 10% international unhedged would put me in a bad position when the Canadian dollar starts to rise. What would you suggest and do you think 10% is a good amount for an investor 17 years from retirement?

Q: Good Morning, I'm working at rebalancing our TFSA's. I've sold BIN and with this years money have enough cash for 4 or 5 new positions. I'm at around 16% info tech, 33% industrial, 6% finance, 6% energy, 14% consumer disc., 9% health care and 14% real estate. You can see I'm completely missing some sectors that I assume offer less growth. Would you recommend I add some telecom, utilities or materials in my TFSA's? considering I hold some of those in other investments? If not, how much would you add to each of the other sectors? and which would be your top two choices in each? Thanks for the great service. Rod

Q: Good Morning: I have held cpx.pr.a for some time and my cost is well below the 25.00 issue price. However, there seems to be unrelenting pressure on this pref. and I'm left wondering whether or not there is something here that I'm not aware of. Do investors/analysts wonder about the ability of Capital Power to stay in business? The current yield on the pref. in question is very high and yet it does not reset again until nearly 5 years from now. I would appreciate your comments about this pref. and whether or not you see it as a buy, sell or hold at this time. With thanks, Don
