Q: Re Aston Hill Financial (AHF)
I would suppose all the internal disention at the firm might have something to do with the poor performance of the stock lately, NO?

Q: Hello Peter
I have sold a large 2017 NB Provincial bond yielding 4.45% and need to replace it with an equity that is quite recession resistant, has a rising price and rising dividends and is not in a sector where we already own stocks.
I come up with BCE and Telus [T] as we own no telecoms. Currently BCE has a 5.24% div and Telus 3.80% div. Over the next 10-20 years which will do better for us? Do you have any other possible candidates we should consider.

Q: This is just a comment and I hope you actually post it because I am offended more than once by some language I see every now and then in our Member Questions section.

May I ask the members NOT to refer to Peter and the team at 5i as "gang," for example. Language Matters! Big time! Even when you want to show your casual or friendly attitude. So please address Peter and the rest of the team by names that show your respect for who they are and what they do for you and I everyday. They are "Gentlemen" as far I am concerned.

Q: Regarding the dividend history. I use longrundata.com
It provides information on the last 8 dividend payments and then a 30 year history. It's a US site so you will need to add .tsx as a suffix. A disadvantage is that it doesn't seem to work where there is a dot in the address as in TCK.A or D.UN

Q: Re: David's question on dividend history. I use www.dividendhistory.org They show all dividend payments dating back to 1995 on Canadian symbols and a few years prior to that on U.S. ones.

Q: DHX is a stock I have held since January 2014. It is going down as fast as the rest of the market is going up. 5i seems to like it. What do you see in it?

Also, on my online account they issue buy alerts. I acted on one on Feb 18 after the alert. It was CS. It dropped 4.5% that day while the market was going up. I would be afraid to add to either one of them. Should I just stick to mutual funds because that seems to be the only way that I can make money in the market?
