Q: Hi 5i,
I have some Hycroft Mining Holding Equity Warrants that Expire Oct 22, 2022 which ended up in my RRSP account after the meltdown of Allied Nevada Gold that was bought by my no-longer financial advisor. They have started to catch the attention of the CRA as I have received a letter from my bank about non-qualifying investments held in my registered account. From looking at my account transaction history they seemed to have been surrendered due to a name change in September of last year which must have started the problem. Nothing has been said about them previously.
Is there any use in hanging onto these by transferring them to my cash account or should I just sell them to eliminate the position and the problem. The previous warrants had a strike price of $8.50 if I remember correctly which I don't think I have a hope of seeing in my lifetime.
Thanks for your help.
Dave

Q: When Arc and Seven Gen merged, analysts were very positive on the merger, as was 5i. Credit agencies reinforced the positive vibes by giving a major rating upgrade. But the stock has subsequently dropped by some 10% in value and a significant short position hangs over the shares. What is holding back the share price and giving shorts so much interest? Thank you.
Q: Any idea for the jump today?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I am thinking of selling Score and investing that money in Photon. Your opinion??
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Does the current chip shortage directly help Photons bottom line or do they purchase chips and then produce a specialized (niche) chip as their product. Thus higher chip prices would not help their bottom line.
Thanks

Q: What do you think of Amgen as a long term income stock to hold through retirement? Thanks

Q: Any feedback on this junior oil and gas company who plan to drill in the Okavango Delta?
Q: Your thoughts on Gatekeeper please. Recent results seem ok to me.
I bought a 2% position which has grown to 3%. Should I trim back or am I ok to let it ride. I have a 10yr plus time frame.
Thanks
John

Q: TTCF Tattooed Chef Company. Plant-based foods, appear to be growing quickly, good distribution partners, growing product line, looks like cash on the balance sheet to help facilitate growth, vertically integrated.... Too small? Too early? Too much competition in this space? From a high level, do you have an opinion on this one?
Q: Have been watching this one for awhile now and it has great momentum and decent volume. It reports on May 6th and I would love your analysis of them. Is it going to be another Restoration Hardware?

Q: Which ETF[s] would you recommend to cover commodities e.g. cereals, minerals, etc?
Q: The market has reacted negatively to the departure of the president of QBR's Videotron division. Wondering what your thoughts are and - aside from this issue - how does QBR stack up against the other Canadian telecoms - would a switch make sense?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: just wondering what is happening to KBL today. Looks like their contract in Edmonton was renewed - but the stock action seems to be over the top. What am i missing here?
Q: I need a bit of assistance knowing what to do with bond ETFs. With interest rates projected to change in Canada and mounting inflationary pressures in the US, would you go long (as per a G/M article today 'A contrarian case for bonds - and stellar returns ahead' which suggested the CND ETF XLB) or short term (eg VSB, CBO as in an answer you provided today)? In the past I have opted for aggregate bond ETFs feeling interest rate calls were beyond my abilities to 'call the market'.
