Q: Based on available historical data, the above have compounded earnings > 10%. I intend to put these good companies into a RRIF to boost the return of a mostly bond/gic content.
In your opinion would you regard each of the above as a good company that should be able to provide a relatively stable future annual return of 8% to 10% with the exception of a market meltdown. Looking for some reassurance regarding the picks. Thank you.

Q: I see on Friday a US Law Firm announced its investigating whether the offer for Span-America was "fair" for Span shareholders. I find this confusing. Isn't this usually instigated by an Investment Bank or large shareholder? What can be unfair about an offer to buy shares? If you don't want to sell, then don't tender. Do you see this causing the offer to rise? Could there be anything illegal about this offer?
Q: Hello do you have a preference bwtween SIS and Kinaxis for growth? Is one more risky than the other? Thanks, Bill

Q: Hi,
I'm young and have good income, good risk tolerance and no need to withdrawal any of my investment dollars anytime soon. I'm looking for long term growth mostly. Currently I hold the listed stocks, do you see any names that jump out as really bad/ should sell? Is anything really lacking and maybe should be added? Right now everything is held in a tfsa.
Thanks!
Dave

Q: In a response to SIS' recent acquisition, you noted it was "30% accretive to financial metrics". I've seen a similar term used in other responses regarding acquisitions. What exactly does this mean, and what amount of "accretion" is considered good in an acquisition? Thanks
Q: Thoughts on Span-America Medical System acquisition announced yesterday?
Q: Hello,
How do subscription receipts work? How do you purchase them? Do you think the subscription receipts coming for SIS are a good investment? Thanks Luke

Q: Looking to add a full position in your balanced equity portfolio ( which I am slow adopting). Currently overweight financial and energy so those are off the table. Could more or less add any other class and be ok for weighting. Recently added OTEX and ENGH as tech stocks so those are off the table along with MG, wsp. Which havew the best buying opportunity right now....wish I had picked up MX earlier this week when it tanked 4% on weak earnings...
