Q: Can you give this co a quick analysis for me? I just want to take a flyer on something which is leveraged on the oil services side in Canada. If this isn't one - do you have 2 or 3 that you could recommend I consider? I understand the risk is high.

Q: Hi, the GICs of smaller banks through TD direct investing such as Equitable, Home Equity and PC Bank offer much better rates than the big 5 and insurco banks. I know they are CDIC insured up to $100k but would still like to invest knowing they are decent and relatively secure companies. Could you comment on or rank the 3 mentioned in this regard and any you would pass on, Thanks

Q: Volaris Group, a Constellation Software Company, Enters into Agreement to Acquire SSP Limited

Little info on the deal as usual but looks like a great acquisition as SaaS is right in their wheel house. SSP Ltd is among Top 500 cloud software vendors according to the google search I did. What does 5i think of this deal?

Q: Hi 5i team,
I will use XBC as an example here. It is now approaching $1B market cap. You guys always seem to reference this as a magic threshold that can bring in bigger investors that either don’t like the small cap space or are not permitted there by their mandate. I am curious if this is a key threshold for just Canadian companies or is the threshold typically higher for U.S. companies, where the cap sizes are proportionately higher.

Q: There is a rumor that CISCO might buy FSLY. If they do what price range will it go for. How much Debt or CASH does FSLY hold. News is only on some site. Is there anything on Bloomberg?
Do you think CISCO is a good fit or any other company that might be interested to buy?

Q: Hi Team!

I have been picking away at Cargojet and Real Matters today and over the last few weeks. What would be a reasonable purchase price range going forward for these 2 stocks?

Based on some recent Q&A over the last month(s), you still seem to have a good opinion of them going into 2021 and beyond, once we get thru some potential tax loss selling.
Wrt CJ, e-commerce will potentially only strengthen post covid as people will have gotten used to purchasing online and thus deliverables is a necessity. In one answer you indicated CJ could/should increase EPS by 5x next year, thus my keen interest!
I have also owned DSG for years as a complimentary e-commerce play.

Wrt REAL, while their last quarter results may have disappointed a few, I'd prefer to take a longer term view out to 2022-2025. They have some interesting projects that should come to fruition by then and will likely have increased their market penetration as well. I also appreciate that they have been buying back shares the last several weeks as the stock drifted lower. Gives us a little bit more confidence that the recent quarter may have been a one time blip.
