Q: After what happened to Wells Fargo its very likely that our banks would have taken steps to ensure this does not happen here.
It is possible that short sellers are trying to cover their losses.

Q: TD is down 3% as of 11am. I assume the CBC investigative story is the cause. How serious is this and should the stock be reacting so poorly to the news? What's your take on all of this?

Q: Hello:
RE: XLE Energy Select Sector SPDR (ETF)
(This ETF does not appear in your dropdown menu).

With the price of oil dropping today to the $49 level,
my position in XLE is down 10 % since I purchased mid Nov 2016.
I also hold SPE & PXT in my TFSA; my total Energy exposure is just over 4.5% of my total holdings.
What are your thoughts on XLE with regard to having it as a core holding in the energy space ? Would you recommend a Canadian energy ETF instead (i.e. ZEO) ?
My risk tolerance is medium to high, am looking for growth.
I purchased this ETF after Nov 8th and researched the "Trump" factor.

Results have some positive values but company seems to have continued in building mode for q4.
Nice to see adjusted profit and mgt positive sense for 2018.
What is it in the numbers that should be used as this companies performance gage?

what are your thoughts in review of the mgt presentation?

Q: Any idea what is going on with TD today? The rest of the banks are doing fine but TD is down over 3%, which is a huge fall for one of the big banks on day which hasn't seen a severe fall in the markets.

Which company would you prefer for long term hold?
Taking in to consideration the volatility of oil prices going forward
and the likely hood of increasing dividends. I do not own any senior Canadian oil producers, and i am looking to add.

Q: Hi 5i team,

In order to further manage my market risk in a diversified portfolio, could you provide guidance on market cap range that would define small, mid and large cap? I believe small < 1 bio, mid 1 to 5 bio and large > 5 bio is a reasonable range, but wanted to confirm your opinion.

Q: Hi 5i
Due to one of the holdings becoming a runaway success it has turned into approx 30% of the overall portfolio value (I know you think this is a bet on one company, leaving that to one side my question relates to the the weighting of the remaining holdings). I'm uncertain as to whether it would be necessary to adjust the weightings of the remaining holdings and in what way. Growth/losses in the other holdings appears to be masked/muted by the overwhelming good fortune that is the 30% holding.
