Q: JNJ shares have been sliding down for weeks. Today the company lost its appeal to segregate its talc div for bankruptcy and JNJ Shares gapped down. The talc litigation was already priced in before the decision. The ruling itself was not a real surprise. What gives? Is it much of a risk to add to existing holdings? “Waiting for things to settle” does not always work out when negative factors depressing share values were already known before resolution of said negatives.

Q: I noticed that Hasbro went down about eight percent because of poor guidance. I wonder it this will affect Toy? I suppose it already would have it was going to do so. What are your thoughts generally on Toy^ I sold a lot when it was at $50 but I still have some left now at about $34. That was quite a big drop, too. Time to move on or do you think it will come back^

Q: Have you read that major article the Globe and Mail did on CIX on Saturday? If so, do you have any response to it? It sounded kind of like a hit piece, and certainly had nothing good to say about either the company's future prospects or its leadership.

Q: If 5i had 3 US model portfolios (income, balanced, and growth), which model portfolio(s) would you put NVDA into and what weighting would you currently have it around or where would you start trimming? Would you consider it one of those ones where you let it keep running as a winner and trim it along the way (e.g., year to date of 30+%)?
Q: Assuming a few better years for bonds ahead, insurance should do well. How would you rate ELF, and what would be your favourite in the space.
Q: Hello. Current overall assessment of this company? Decent option if primarily looking for income in an RRSP? How safe is the dividend? any prospect for share price appreciation? Thanks!
Q: Hello 5i Team,
I'm looking to add another dividend name to my son's portfolio (10+ years timeframe) and am trying to decide between GWO and POW. Both have similar yields. I always thought GWO was the "jewel in the crown" of the POW empire, yet some money managers tend to believe it's best to own the parent company than the subsidiaries. I'm not particularly interested in exposure to IG financial, which would be included in POW. How would you compare these two companies in terms of balance sheet strength, growth, dividend growth and overall safety? Which one would you buy?
Much appreciated,
Brian

Q: I heard that Eric Nuttall is now out of VET. It's my only oil & gas stock that is under water at this point. What is your opinion? It seems to have declined due to the fall of natural gas in Europe and the extra tax levy. Do you think it has fallen enough to now be worth holding, or is there another oil and gas stock that you like better. I'm thinking maybe FRU or even NNRG.NE, Eric's fond? Or do you have another one?
Thanks
Thanks

Q: In a recent response to me you linked to another answer in which you wrote “There would be no withholding tax in an RRSP account”.
I hold MDT in an RRSP and there is in fact a 25% tax withheld. Company is Dublin- based.

Q: There is an article this morning regarding the number of hours that Canadian doctors have to spend on doing paperwork over the course of a day. Things like insurance and income assistance forms, medical reviews for drivers and disability tax credits, etc., said to be overwhelming. Apparently some some forms are being shortened, but hope is that more technology will be used in doctor's offices to further reduce the work.
Is this an area of healthcare that WELL is involved in, or could be?
Is WELL expanding its expertise in other areas in the future - i.e. "long runway for growth" ?

Q: Hi, and thanks for all the advice.
I own the following in a unregistered account.
I'm in the red for all of them, BMBL down 59%, ETSY down 30% and PINS down 58%. They have all moved quite nicely in the last month so not sure to hang or or sell.
Do you think that these stocks will recover within 2 years or should I be looking to sell some or all and replace them with something else.
Please list what I should be selling and what I should be replacing them with.
Also your reasons for the swap and a good entry point.
Thanks
Joe
