Q: NeuLion "before tax" EPS is relatively flat over the past 5 years at $0.01, with their 2015 "after tax" EPS bump coming from a $27.8M "income tax benefit" (Common shares outstanding have grown from ~139M to ~280M since 2011, a 200% increase.) Any idea what this "income tax benefit" is? Will it continue to occur going forward?

Q: Hello 5i,
My daughter turns 18 next month and we will open a TFSA in her name. Please offer a strategy for us to consider. Her timeline is very long-term, and the focus is growth. Maybe a mix of low-cost ETF's and a few stocks; and a stock like AAPL that appeals to the younger generation and will keep her interested in following the markets and economy. THX.

Could you comment on the merits of STB? It has a great yield, but a high payout ratio, and there have been issues with the balance sheet. Thanks for your advice.

Q: Interesting article in the Globe this morning, suggesting to consider the newly issued preferreds with 5.5% + yield, some with 4-4.8% reset rate. Also, that buying individual preferred is a better choice than the ZPR. Can you suggest some of your choices please.
