Q: Can I please have your thoughts on Axon's earnings announced on February 25th. After it's huge drop this past week is this a buying opportunity or a chance to get out? Your overall thoughts on the company would be appreciated. Thank You.

Q: Hi, INTU has been taking a beating. Are there still lingering issues? There was a short report some time back...
Your thoughts on earnings and if you'd consider it a compelling enough buy at this time.
thx, Mark

Q: 5i core principles
Can you clarify what you mean with this statement?
Avoid Concentrated Risks
"Don’t make a portfolio reliant on a single stock."
This is staight forward. But how many do you recommend?
"no matter how well you know a company or how confident you are in it, it can still go down."
How do you mitigate risk? It would seem that having a method of getting out of non or under performing stocks would be prudent.
"Having too many eggs in one basket can cause a lot of problems that are hard to bounce back from."
Are you suggesting having many baskets or having one basket with a few eggs that you carefully monitor?
I will post this under Avoid Concentrated Risks in the forums section if anyone wants to comment.

Q: In response to your answer it is noted in the Company financials "the Subordinate Voting Shares and Proportionate Voting Shares have the same rights, are equal in all respects and are treated by the Company as if they were shares of one class only."
Q: how safe is HDIV in a recession? It uses leverage but also has covered calls to make income.
Q: Hi,
SMCI submitted 10K before the deadline. The company had provided forward guidance. What is the probability they wood goof up the next few quarters - specially when coming back from the brink.
Given its current valuation, would you trust the management and invest for the next few quarters? If yes, would you consider a full position or even going overweight?
Regards
Rajiv

With the backing of BC Partners do you think it represents an interesting investment opportunity?

Q: I own BCE and RCI and thinking of selling one and buying the other or possibly just leave it as is what are you thoughts. I do own T and am actually up on it. This is in an RRSP account.
Q: I am wondering if staff/exec have vested options, that are currently being sold, and that is accelerating the stock weakness over the past month (roughly from $40 down to $30).
Looking at the INK Insider report for last year, the graph shows substantial insider sales in May 2024, when the price went from $29 down to $19 (and then rebounded). Feb 2025 is exactly 3Q from May 2024, so this could match such a cycle (hypothetically).
I'm unsure how long insiders have, to file their sales, for February.
Any thoughts, or is this pure grasping-at-straws?

Q: I wish to build a 3 year cash reserve to cover market fluctuations in retirement. Looking for liquidity and safety, and ease of use. I am considering HISA, money market funds, GIC's or Bonds ?
My account is at Investorline so would have to be available through them. Are any of these preferable or do you have other suggestions?

Q: Hello, I have long been a fan of Peter Hodson's team. Introduced thru Ellen Roseman's investment club.
I own JRVMF in my TFSA. Originally bought about $2,000 CDN worth of shares several years ago. I listened to my geologist neighbour.
Just received a package on the company's U.S. Chapter 11 proceedings (received by regular mail February 21, 2025, must respond by 5 p.m. CT February 25, 2025).
Package includes 1) notice of "Joint Prepackaged Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganization" 2) "Notice of Non-Voting Status" and 3) a form for those who "elect to opt out of the third-party release" which must be returned tomorrow, Feb 25, 2025.
I gather I am not entitled to vote on the Prepackaged Plan. I assume this is a standard thing. Any advice on how to respond would be appreciated.
Never listen to your geologist neighbour. Thanks!
