Q: Hi Peter &Ryan
I am currently sitting on about 30% cash as I just had a pref called on the US side .
Would you sit on cash right now or jump back into the market and if so could I have some names of Can. domiciled companies that trade in US $.
The balance of my porfoilo is reasonably balanced so I could add to any sector.
I am looking for div stocks and capital preservation over growth.
Kind Regards
Stan

Q: Greetings, Peter & Co.
I currently hold AGT at a profit. I would like to replace it with another agriculture stock, small cap or mid cap, that has some growth and some dividend. Failing this, I would consider a moderate sized tech company that meets these criteria.
With appreciation,
Ed

Q: Please suggest 5 stocks that you think have a potential catalyst in the next 6-12 months that could result in higher than anticipated returns and indicate what those potential catalysts could be. Not looking for any micro-cap or very high risk suggestions. Thanks, and have a Happy New Year!

Q: Hi Peter,
Any idea why Brookfield Infrastructure partners is going down? I was thinking of taking a full position of 5 % rather than diversifying with Stantec etc. Also, what is the reason for stocks such as Hudbay Minerals and Agrium to continue to go up and is this sustainable? I have noticed the canadian banks and insurance especially TD Bank and Manulife have gone up alot lately. Do you think it is time to trim them as they look over bought. Lastly, can you comment on why Ceapro and B2Gold are taking a hit. The big prediction was gold was going to go much higher after Trump, but all of a sudden, gold continues to experience declines. Thanks very much.

Q: I modeled my income fund portfolio on the 5IR portfolio. One opening is an AGU position. I am hesitating taking a position because of merger with Potash. Question...what is the down$ide risk of getting into AGU now, in particular to market share price, aka the book value, or is there a substitute TSX name or ETF?
......Thanks......Tom

Q: I bought AGU for the decent yield in my income portion of my portfolio. Now with the planned merger I am concerned that the new company may have a lower yield and likely be more volatile due to higher potash exposure. If the deal goes through would you be keeping the new shares in the income portfolio?

Q: I have sold puts on AGU 3 times and they expired worthless and I currently have no possition in AGU either equity or option.

With the current rise in price AGU technicals signal a buy. Given the large price jump and the resulting gap on the charts, would you wait till/if the price settles or would you sell another put on AGU at this level?

Thanks

Sheldon
