Q: Hi All! I'm a bit surprised you haven't had a previous question about this co. They have a factory just down the road from you! Yesterday CSIQ had a pretty wild day, in spite of recent quarterly results which seem pretty positive to me. What am I missing? Thanks!

Q: I picked up these 2 stocks while a member of Canadian Shareowners. While decent performers in the past couple years, both have seen steady declines, Jacobs from $63 in Dec 2013 to $43 in Nov., Flowserve from $78 to $67, same period. Is it time to bail and go a US ETF?

I have enjoyed a nice run with CSX being up 25% while collecting a nice increasing div.

Yesterday it was announced CSX is looking at cutting at least 300 workers... initially through buyouts and/or service package offers. The article went on to mention should the offers not be accepted by January enabling the company to reach the 300 number, "involuntary layoffs may take place."

CEO Michael Ward said "the plan is part of a series of steps designed to reduce operating costs amid what Ward said are serious declines in some of its businesses, especially coal..."

My question.... should I cut and run and be happy with what I have or would you suggest holding tight and not being concerned with this report?

I thought Carl Icahn’s investment in NUAN would shake things, but it is down ~20% from a year ago. Any hope for NUAN? Other technology companies are said to have looked at buying NUAN but no offers.

Q: The US dollar has risen substantially lately. The S&P 500 has risen 50% in 3 years. I understand that both of these have climbed due to the foreign influx of capital seeking the haven of the reserve currency of the world. Can the U.S dollar and markets continue in this manner alone while other countries languish? Do you have any concerns regarding the strength of the U.S. dollar or the strength of the S&P 500?

Q: According to Cramer ,"Qualcomm has become a lawsuit stock. I can't take the risk."
It is down .48% again today ... After holding this for a year I am now down 5.55% with prospects of it gong down further. (???) The problems with the Chinese has been know for months ... Do you think QCOM will just erode away from here ? What would you do if you were in my shoes ? My US investments so far have been an total disaster thanks to GTAT , GSK, and RIG .
I just keep on picking bad situations .

I am thinking to invest in VGR, but with the Canadian $ is so low, does it make sense to invest in the US stock market these days, with about 14% up-charge? (maybe by the time I'll sell it, the Canadian $ will strengthen and I will lose the exchange rate - I don't think the exchang rate will be lower)
Also, I could not find any Canadian tobacco listed in Canada.
Do you know and recommend any?
