Q: Topicus was due to start trading today but trading was halted first thing. According to a Financial Post news release the company has been advised by the Exchange that trading is expected to resume when markets open on February 2, with a board lot size of 100 subordinate voting shares. It says the initial board lot size was expected to be 1,000 subordinate voting shares. Could you please explain what this difference in subordinate voting shares means. Thanks for the great service.

Q: Four years since you've entertained a question on HIMAX...

Historically the company's performance seems to be lumpy at best (revenue, stock price action, margin, etc). However, recent chart action and volume is looking very good - almost like it has good momentum ;-)!

What do you make of HIMX today both fundamentally and with market momentum and what would be your expectations over the next few years. Bullish?

Q: Hi 5i team,
With the current market volatility, I want to review my tech holdings and dispose of weaker ones. The review criteria are: 1. Profitable 2. Double digit revenue growth forecast 3. Healthy balance sheets. From the listed companies above, which do NOT meet these criteria? Many thanks.

Q: How would you characterize/rank TXN in the semi space? Is it diversified in its product offerings versus others and would you recommend it as an all-around buy or are there others you would prefer that may be more focused or in other markets? Thanks

Q: The shift to EVs has now increased with intensity and resolve. With many governments now mandating this pivot it would seem investments will need to recognize and not fight the trend.
What are the favourable ways left to invest that are not overpriced. I would like your opinion in the many parts of the sector from battery components, assembly, and technology.
Please feel free to deduct questions appropriately for your response.

Q: Qorvo stock was up 14% in the last month. They are expected to report earnings of $2.66 or year over year growth of 43% and sales up 22%. Expected earnings growth is forecast to increase 37% and revenue up 19%. Yet since January 20 the stock has retraced. Do you know why and what are the long term prospects for Qorvo.

Q: Looking through your responses on this company I do not see any reference to what appears to be POETs claim to fame - that is offers a unique integration of optical technology and existing chip production, nor any reference to a fairly long established participation, I assume in this technology. I like belt and braces; if the technology is valid and timely, which I assume it is given the focus of robotics today, and they have a moat by way of patents or other mechanisms, their prospects should be excellent, albeit absent revenues in the short term. Can you clarify these issues for me please.
