Q: After AQN's recent acquisition CIBC published a report predicting minimum growth from the current stock price; Canaccord's target price is actually lower than the current price. Now analysts are wrong more often than not. Your view of AQN's prospects? Thank you.

Q: can you comment on their first quarter earning? If owned what % would be the maximum you would hold?
Thanks

Q: I'm down on a full position in VET and thinking of swapping it for a reduced position in SU partially for the capital loss, partially to reduce my full energy holdings but also for more stability with SU. I think SU is vertically more diversified and bigger and therefore better for a conservative retired investor like me. Does this sound like a reasonable plan or should I just hold cash and rebuy VET in 30 days and go on enjoying the higher dividend it offers?
Another reason the Su interests me is that VET's high dividend is nice but worries me. Other times I've held on to a company with a high dividend I have ended up with a capital loss that far outweighs the accumulated dividends. I would like to know if you consider VET's or SU's dividends "safer"? What might cause either of them to cut their dividend.
Two questions I guess.

Q: Hi team,
Canacol has been paying down debt, has also executed well on the completion of its pipeline scheduled for late June/19,and according to analyst will be earning 74cents a share in 2020.would this be a good time to purchase stocks ,do you see it as being undervalues and would 7.00$ a share in 18 months be a reasonable target price?
many thanks,
Jean

Q: My wife only wants to invest in environmentally friendly companies ( eg renewable energy sector etc). I have bought for her QST. I would like to put her in solid larger companies that pay a dividend. Could you recommend your top 5 picks?
Q: Good Day. Is it common or normal for a utility type company (i.e. Cdn Utilities) to have a negative free cash flow yield? Tx.
Q: Should I be starting to worry about this stock?
Am retired investor down $3.00 but that is OK as bought as long term investment for its dividend.
Is the dividend secure?
Are they running into problems/ cost overruns on plastics plant they are building, trouble getting financing or partnership for it?
I know anything to do with oil (especially in Canada) is acting poorly but IPL is lagging the pipeline sector.
In my RSP so tax loss available.
Is 3% of total RSP/TFSA/cash portfolio.
Does the street know something the average joe doesn't?
Comments / Suggestions?
Thanks

Q: Which of the above companies do you see leading the race into the transition into clean energy in the future. Some probably already hold exciting knew patents on future forms of clean energy. Maybe also a good opportunity now to buy them as they trade lower with the price of oil.
thanks Gord

Q: Good afternoon;
Do we know the significance of today's BC court ruling. I am guessing that any new pipeline will still need all the environmental approvals and indigenous consultations but BC is not allowed to just forbid hydrocarbons from entering the province.
Thanks
Ian

Q: With latest results , where do you stand now on PEY . dividend appears safe and still looks profitable
Q: You have noted that sector weakness is a factor in the decline in this equity due to long term factors weakening the oil price. Two questions - I) how much of our sector weakness is due to the price differential suffered by Canadian operators from the inability to get their product to world markets, and ii) while in the long run oil pricing may weaken for the reasons stated, the current situation - both short and medium term - appear likely to support the price of oil, perhaps as a minimum, Can you comment please.
Q: These 3 Stocks are big losers in my portfolio. All over 75% down. Should I dump them? Or do they stand to rebound?
