Q: Have the recent declines in these resource companies mainly due to the US new leadership tariff threats or more related to the diminishing China demand.

Q: What are your recommended non-Canadian equity ETFs?
Do you prefer US only ETFs, or worldwide non-Canadian ETFs, for a long term hold?
Is it more likely that US equities will outperform non-US, such as Europe and Japan, or is it too hard to tell?

Q: I want to start doing an RRSP meltdown. I'm considering moving ZID in-kind to my non-registered account but was wondering about the implications. Since this is a Canadian-based ETF, I don't think it has any effect on having to fill out Form T1135, Foreign Income Verification Statement, does it ?

Acknowledging that 5i staff are not tax experts, do you recognize any other caveats that one should be aware of for having this ETF within a non-registered account? Thanks !

Q: Shipping companies. I was just doing some research on SBLK and came across a question from Jacques going back to Jan 30/2024. It looks like share prices of all those companies have dropped significantly over the course of this year. Some have low P/E ratios , look oversold and have nice yields. I would appreciate your assessment of the situation and whether or not this is a buying opportunity. My primary interest currently is SBLK but I am open to 5i’s suggestions. Thanks

Q: I am concerned about the upcoming US election. Does Hungary have a stock market? If so, what happened to its valuation when the current dictator took over and the country evolved from a democracy into a dictatorship? How has their stock market performed, if they have one, since it became a dictatorship. Thank you
