Q: What's with the "second wind" of TRI?

Last year I bought TRI around $88 and sold it in 11/2019 for a loss after it seemed to have lost its momentum. It's now up 20% since (up $18). What's with this "second wind"?. TRI was a sleepy blue chip for years and woke up in 2019 for its "first wind". Is this stock still worth chasing for momentum investors like myself?

Love to have your take.

Q: ECN is up more YTD than anything on my watch list, easily outpacing the tech stocks, and another 4% today. What is driving this momentum and would you buy this stock after such a rapid rise?

MX paid US$414 million in 2018 to buy back just over 6 million shares. What is 5i's view of management doing this near the highest the shares have traded over a multi-year period? Does 5i feel that MX's large Venture Capital shareholder exerted undue influence to make this happen?
Finally, what is 5i's view of taking a partial position in MX at this time?

Most recently, Peter, you're quoted in the StockChase website as follows:

"They have done nothing but disappoint for the last couple of quarters. He kept it because the valuation changed and no one expects anything from this company. He is going to give it a couple more quarters."

Two even more negative sentiments were recently expressed on the same website:

"Their competitors have an electric bus and NFI is struggling with that transition away from fossil fuel buses. A value trap."

"He would not be a buyer today because there is a pending transition to electric buses. Municipalities are holding back until they become more main-stream. Wait one to two years to see larger orders."

We're down 45.7% in a TFSA, and wondering if 5i agrees that the electric bus situation is hurting NFI, and what to do in a couple of quarters if 5i drops it.

Q: You previously suggested that IWO-- which is an ETF that holds small-cap U.S. securities with a "growth" tilt-- would be suitable to hold within an RSP. What about a portfolio that also holds VSS, which is the Vanguard FTSE All World Ex-US Small-Cap ETF-- would this also be suitable to hold within an RSP? or is there a similar type of ETF (ex-US small-cap) that is more suitable to hold within an RSP? (The goal here is to hold two complementary small-cap ETFs that trade in U.S. dollars within an RSP, one that focuses on U.S. stocks, the other on non-U.S. international small-cap companies.)

Q: Hi,
Having held some cash aside, waiting for a pullback - I am now wondering which companies I should focus on purchasing first during the downturn? Obviously I am looking for those that are good, solid companies with growth potential. Dividends is nice feature, but not a requirement if the future prospects for the company are strong and debt is low or non existent. I do not currently have any REITs and only AQN in utilities, ENB in energy as I lean towards growth more than income and usually overweight in stronger sectors and industries. Please provide some suggestions, US or Cdn, that have caught your interest recently, as I always value your suggestions.
