Q: I'm planning to replace Power Corp in my RRSP with a combination of BIP.UN and BEP.UN. Would you recommend an equal split between both Brookfield stocks at this time, or lean more towards one vs the other?

Q: Hello,

If one would like to deploy 50k, should that be across the three Brookfield companies above or would it be better with just one (some of them) or do you have better names in the sector that prefer for a 2-3 years hold?

BIP.un is down a lot today. Any reason for it?

Would you buy now or wait until the new year?

Thanks

Q: Hi Peter,
Any idea why Brookfield Infrastructure partners is going down? I was thinking of taking a full position of 5 % rather than diversifying with Stantec etc. Also, what is the reason for stocks such as Hudbay Minerals and Agrium to continue to go up and is this sustainable? I have noticed the canadian banks and insurance especially TD Bank and Manulife have gone up alot lately. Do you think it is time to trim them as they look over bought. Lastly, can you comment on why Ceapro and B2Gold are taking a hit. The big prediction was gold was going to go much higher after Trump, but all of a sudden, gold continues to experience declines. Thanks very much.

Q: Can you give me the 3 and 5 year growth in FFO for each of the above? Also, global warming is expected to reduce brazilian river volumes by 30% in the next 20 years sa recent NYT article stated. Will this slow bep down or can they work around it? Thanks

Q: Hi, ENB and BIP make up up 16% of my equity portfolio (8% each), plus I own BAM at 4%. I've been considering a trim but they've been the stalwarts of my portfolio and I've been skeptical of a big inflation/interest rate increase. Now, with talk of Trump's inflationary fiscal policy, do you think it's time to reduce these stocks? or do you feel the benefit of infrastructure spending will offset the negative effects of rate increases on these stocks?
Thanks.

Q: When looking at BIP.UN an infrastructure stock, can you compare this stock to other infrastructure stocks like a stantec or wsp global. My feeling is that stocks like stantec are more directly involved in the infrastructure industry and will be more directly affected by the Canadian and USA infrastructure spending that are planned in the near future. Your feeling would be appreciated. Tnx.

Q: MT Newswire at 7:26 AM on Friday filed a report that BIP.UN had reduced its dividend when in fact there distributions are up 11% in the year. The result was a drop of 6% in Market Value which later in the day recovered half of the loss. Some shareholders would have been damaged if it prompted a sale. Are there no repercussions for MT Newswire for the misstatement?

Q: Having an Income portfolio including the above companies, I'm unsure of the effects of a potential increase in US rates in say December 2016 when at the same time the Bank of Canada holds rates or even maintains dovish tone signally near term rate cut. Will holding Canadian interest rates steady offset what would otherwise be negative pressure of a US rate increase on Canadian dividend paying stocks? Thanks
