Q: Would appreciate your view on this company at $17. Understand necessity for a longer term view, bbut it looks good to me at this price
Q: Hi:
I have been comparing the key statistics for EMA and BEP for the years 2011 – 2014, and EMA appears to be the clear winner on paper. I know that BEP has strong backing from BAM, is globally positioned and pays a higher dividend. I hold a full position in BPY.UN and BIP.UN in a reasonably diversified portfolio.
Because of my age income and security of capital are more important than growth.
Are there other considerations that I am not taking into account in deciding which to invest in?

Q: Could you give an update on your thoughts for SPE, bearing in mind the common concern of survivablity? Thanks
Q: This is a mortgage insurer with great fundamentals: TTM PE 5.8, ROE 11.6%, P/B of 0.65, D/E of 13%, low P.R. and has beat EPS last 3 Q 2015 & increased it's dividend in Nov. 2015. The company does not think we are going to have a real estate crash - neither do I - only caveat is AB - what is their exposure there as a % of their total book? This is a pure negative sentiment play, I guess? Stock is down a lot since Nov. 25 th even with the D > & EPS beat. What am I missing here??
Q: With today's announcement and Shaw moving forward with the Wind acquisition do you agree that Shaw will need to commit increasing amounts for Capex to build out Wind's network to take advantage of the unused spectrum that Wind owns? Will this have an impact on Shaw's dividend?
Q: Hi team,
I am aware of your positive view on this company and am a follower of BNN,and noticed that Peter will be guest of Market call this Friday,Jan.15. He will possibly be asked by a viewer/follower about his opinion of PHM.
Fabrice Taylor was a guest on BNN, 2015-12-04,and mentioned that this company would"probably be sold in the next 12 months" I have not heard that they were up for sale, and as a speculation what would be a fair price should it be taken over?
Many thanks,
Jean C.

Q: I see that DFN is dropping like the rest of the market. Rob Carrick from The Globe and Mail is recommending preferreds in the form of CPD. Are preferreds in any form a good safe haven right now?

Q: this stock has taken a hit in the downturn. Would this be a good time to get in. thanks
Q: Could you please share your opinions of closed end funds? For example, I own both NXC and PCF.UN from Purpose Investments in my registered account, as I found them to be interesting contrasts to how I invest as an individual investor. I greatly respect your opinion, and appreciate your 5i approach.
Many thanks,
Mary

Q: Could you please explain why AQN has significantly outperformed BEP over every time period despite a significantly higher yield offered by BEP. Which one would you favour for purchase today? Thanks.
Q: Hi Peter, Ryan & Team

Q: I glean the pundits sensing a capitulation in the energy stock pricing... as well perhaps with the price of crude. Having a 4 or 5 year 'level of patience', might you suggest this timing as a buying opportunity? If so, which Canadian companies would you suggest as opportune buys?
Q: Recent press releases from the company have argued that"a low oil price is good for NAT." According to what logic can this be so? Thanks.
Q: Good morning...I am currently down on majority of dividend paying companies (AD, EP.un,ENB,SIA,TD,CSH,HR.un,IPL,TD,SU,BNS, WSP)from ranging from 10% to 30%...I understand very turbulent market so I am more or less steady...I like the fact I can average about $2500 a month in dividends..while I wait it out..I understand we still may see further decline...however, if I am looking more at the continuation of a dividend stream over the next 12 to 18 months...waiting it out for a little market improvement..what positions would you add to ...top 5..can include new recommendations...ideally above 4%...no tax concerns...also read an article about loonie to .59 by year end...what impact could this have on the overall market on dividend paying stocks? Thanks
