Q: Hi 5i team,
I went to check recent questions on UAA and there were none. Maybe that is a bad omen. It has really been beaten up with a big earnings miss and poor guidance. It seems to be one of the have nots in retail but I thought it had somewhat of a loyal following and some branding power. The item that recently caught my eye was the appointment of Mohamed A. El-Erian as the lead independent director. I have always found Mohamed to be very thoughtful and insightful on the markets. Is there any hope for UAA? I don’t own it but am intrigued by Mohamed.

Richards Packaging keeping in mind the effective yield and stock at 52 week high but seems stable in this market. Or sell taking tax hit on the non reg account, and investing in Enbridge or something else you might suggest that might provide yield and some capital gain.

Q: I have been checking out investment savings accounts as an alternative to money market funds as a place to hold cash for future investment. RBC has a number of these RBF 2010, 2020, 2030 and 2040, but when I pull up a quote on the RBC Direct Investing site none of these funds are showing any assets. I doubt that I would be the first person to buy some. Do you know what is going on here?

Q: Recently, there have been some questions asked about which companies are likely to benefit from a shift to more people working from home. ZM, DOCU, WORK were some of the suggestions.

Could you please take a look at the other side of that question. What tech companies which have done well in the traditional work environment are likely to be hurt by a shift to working from home? Are there tech companies that support business in it's traditional model which might not do as well in a work from home environment?

Similarly, assuming there is a large shift towards working from home, are there any companies which you have recently been bullish on which you think would suffer if that large shift to working from home was to take place?

Q: I'm looking for one ETF for emerging market exposure. What would your pick be please.

Q: Morning Team. Question relating to VIG (NY) vs VGG (TSE). From my review of both funds, it appears that the holdings are the same or very very close in both. So the question then comes down to currency. Assuming that the $CDN stays weaker as compared to the USD for the forseable future, what are your thoughts on either VIG or VGG as a core holding for the US market. Or perhaps both might be recommended to cover off currency. Many thx. Steve

Q: Greetings - kindly provide your opinions on all issues relating to this healthcare etf including but not limited to its assets under management, the advisability of it's maximum 33% covered call strategy, your view on future performance, the appropriateness of this particular etf if combined with one other single stock healthcare equity as a supplement to the healthcare portion of a portfolio, any cautions on it and whether another Cdn dollar etf in the sector is a better choice in your view. Q: On yahoo finance charts, When I compare Mawer global equity fund vs enzl/ewl it shows that it outperforms those etfs.

But If you consider the currency conversion is it fair to say enzl and ewl have outperformed the Mawer Global fund?

Q: I just read the following on CNBC news feed:

A bill that could force Chinese companies to give up their listings on American stock exchanges is now moving at “warp speed” in Congress, one analyst says.
“We believe it is only a matter of time before this bill (or something similar) is signed into law,” Raymond James analyst Ed Mills wrote.
The Senate bill would require companies to certify that “they are not owned or controlled by a foreign government” and allow the Securities and Exchange Commission to delist non-compliant firms.

They claim it is receiving bipartisan support as it would be political suicide to be seen as supporting Chinese interests and such a bill would help prevent issues such as the Luckin Coffee fraud.

I would be interested in your thoughts. I own TCEHY and wondered:
1) even though it is an ADR, I assume it would be effected by this?
2) I have to believe this negative perception of Chinese stocks will not go away anytime soon and will put downward pressure on TCHEY (or at best, mute its upside potential). Am I better to sell the stock and use the proceeds to purchase a high quality US tech company, and if so, what would you recommend - add to one of my existing positions of AAPL, GOOGL, CSU, KXS, NVDA, AYX, OTC, SHOP, SWKS,........or start a new position in one of your other favourites not listed here.

I have held TCEHY for a few years and am basically flat. It keeps teasing me with its potential but I do not want to be in a fight that is MAYBE bigger than than the stock and become emotionally attached to a position when there are so many good companies out there. Your sage adivce is most welcome

Q: Retired, dividend income investor. I have (or had) a full position in TRP up until the Biden announcement. Would you consider adding now to top up the position or would you wait or would you just leave it as is? I like TRP now, but I'd really like it if it hit the $54-55 level. Asset allocation is not an issue.

A secondary question...with the current approvals in place, wouldn't there be a massive lawsuit if the rug got pulled out of the project if Biden followed through with his threat?
