Q: Hi,
Is the Brookfield family not the majority shareholder of Brookfield Properties ? If so, I do not see how the present offer would be turned down or increased.

Thank you

Q: Happy New Year 5i,
A question was asked on Jan 04 which I will expand on. Can you rank the following in order to purchase for a 1-3 year hold at a minimum.
AT, XBC, U, FSLY, TTD, PINS, ABNB, CRWD, CRM, WDAY, SNOW, ZM, DOCU
Many of the stocks are in a consolidation period after a sharp rise this year. Of the list, which 5 stocks would be considered a higher risk that they have not bottomed out or a correction may yet be due?

Thank you for your great service.
Cheers,
Debbie and Jerry

Q: Hi Team,
I am looking for some of your best ideas for a 2021 tfsa addition, US and/or cnd in any sector. I am looking for something with multi-bagger potential long term, that is "expected" to be strong into the new year. So far my tfsa is weighted almost entirely tech, which I am ok with with the focus of growth. I was thinking about XBC, but am not committed to that choice. Thank you for your great service!
Shane.

Q: Hi team,

No questions on NEXE Innovations so here is the first.
Saw a clip on BNN a few days ago and did a little research on the company. It seems to fall in the ESG realm. Can you please give a brief note on whether it is investable based on current finance metrics? Looks like a recent IPO.
How might it compare to GDNP or ECO?
Note, I have held ECO for approx 3 years patiently waiting for them to get more traction on their key products but it is slow adoption. Thought they might do something more with the introduction of the plastics ban.
Can you rate the 3 (best first) or could one simply buy a basket of the 3 to play the small cap ESG theme? Is there a better preference?

Thanks very much for the past years advice!!
Steve

Q: Hi 5i:
Based on the idea that offices will not be needed as much in the post pademics future , is it worth to keep this stock (SOT) for a 5 years period?, or it would be better to switch to HR for example.
wishing a good year to your team and all members. Alex

Q: I've held Stantec for 5 years and have had satisfactory performance at best. Obviously, with the benefit of hindsight, I wish I had purchased WSP Global instead or just swapped them in the past few years (based on your recommendation of WSP Global). Given the current valuations and performances of these businesses, do you think a move out of Stantec and into WSP Global in my TFSA at this time would make sense?

Q: Hennessy Advisors, Inc (HNNA on NASDAQ)

I've been watching this one for more than a year. Some of its fundamentals look consistently good. But the longer I watch it, the more I feel it's a value trap. Your thoughts? (Also, it doesn't seem to be in your database.)

Best wishes for the new year.

Marc.

Q: Happy New Year to the great team at 5iResearch and thank you for the great advice I have received from you over the years. It has been very profitable. I have a reasonably well balanced portfolio with a small amount of AQN ( ~0.5%) but no PBH. I am considering selling AQN and buying some PBH as I am relatively low in Consumer defensives. Which of the 2 companies do you prefer?

Q: I purchased GOOS at about these levels but it seems, lately, to be heading steadily in the wrong direction. I bought it believing the china market could provide some strength as it appeared to be returning from COVID earlier than other countries. I realilize that there have been some negativre comments regarding the stock which may have lead to some of the decline. Is GOOS still worth holding or is there a better name out there to switch to?

Thanks for the great advice as always

Dave

Q: I’m confused on the offer by Bam to buy out shares as to the Options shareholders have.
Is it 14.5%+- premium plus 0.4 of a BAM share? Or 14.5% premium or the 0.4 BAM share ?
If it’s 1 or the other, then I feel this low premium on the shares is not fair. It was recently higher and is simply consolidated before next push up. This is opportunistic similar to the lumber company deal that shares holders rejected last year( company escapes me atm (canfor or interfor).
How do you view the proposed deal?
Just last week I bought call option on BPY.un , would you simply take the profits today or hold out for possible better offer?
Thanks for your help again 🍻
