Q: Would you be ok to take a full position at this time (5%)or a half position due to market volatility,or am I catching a falling knife.
Q: Hi Peter et al.
I've been doing really well with the Balanced Portfolio. I would love to have something like this for US equities. Any plan to move into the US with your service? If not, could you recommend a service in the US that would be similar to yours; specifically providing model portfolios.

Q: Hi Team! My portfolio is based around your Model Equity Balanced portfolio. I own quite a few shares of SNC as part of employer plan.I own Savaria, would it be ok to add WSP for industrial exposure, or is there another name you would suggest, with dividend of course. Thanks Sam
Q: I would like your comments on the payout ratio of STB and their debt situation. Some comments claimed that their payout ratio is over 100 percent and they are borrowing to cover this.

Q: Is the takeover of CEF.A sure to happen?
If so what is the last date to sell CEF.A?
Also, is there some similar alternative to own that will have any payouts in the form of dividends rather than distributions?

Q: Good morning Peter.
Regarding the gold miners ETFs GDX and GDXJ trading on the NYSE, do I have to declare these as "foreign property" on my Cdn tax return (for cost base greater than $100,000)???

Q: I own a position in Amaya and am currently reviewing my position. On the Investorline website, it shows that Amaya inventory grew by 400 million from 2013 to 2014 YOY. What does this increase correspond to as they are a software based lottery and gaming company?
Their current assets have dropped below their current liabilities by 20% in their latest quarterly. Their total debt is larger than their market cap. What do these numbers mean for the company and for an investor? Am I missing something or are my numbers inaccurate?
How much of their total debt is bank debt vs. funded debt? Is this ratio something an investor should be concerned about?

Q: I've recently got a large bonus from work which will represent about 15% of my total portfolio. I am building up my U.S. exposure to get to my target level so all funds will be invested in a S&P 500 index fund. Since we are looking at all time highs how would you suggest to deploy the cash. Normally I would not try to time the market but with such a large part of my portfolio I'm wondering if I should hold off for a while or deploy it in three trades over the course of the next 6 months or so.
Q: 5i
What is a covered call and what is the risk level in a covered call ETF in both a rising market and a falling market. Looking at ZWH and ZWU as my utilities segment is low as is my USA segment of my portfolio. Yield on both is good and I am looking more for income with a little growth.

Q: Over the years, my general observation has been that officers other than CFOs, CEOs and board directors who are buying and selling company stock has been a more accurate indicator of company direction.
Do you agree with this observation and, if so, how explain this phenomena.
