Q: This is a microcap but can I get your opinion on the spin out of Empire's Hydro-Vac business? It seems to unlock over 3 cents a share in value for a company that was trading at only 7 cents last week.

Q: I'd appreciate your comments on:
1) the sustainability of its dividend (what is the payout ratio), and;
2) is it true that the value of real estate holdings are not accurately reflected in its share price?
3) anything you'd like to add
Thanks

Q: Please disregard my symbol here (XEG.TO). My question is: I wanna have some exposure on CND oil industry or oil-related companies cuz I wanna bet on rebound of oil in the long term. Is there any good-fundemental stocks or ETFs that you will recommend to hold to have the oil exposure I want? Much appreciated! Tony
Q: I need to let either BNS or RY go in order to cut back on my bank exposure. Which 1 would you let go.
Thank You

Q: Good afternoon,
Looking for your opinion on Q4 results and if you would deem this small cap is a buy for the higher risk component of a portfolio?
Thank you,
Brad

Q: Can you please comment on Roper Technologies? This is a 2% holding in my portfolio. If this decline continues (say another 15% decline from here) would this stock be one to add to for a 3-5 year hold or to increase my portfolio weighting in this company?
Q: I have recently purchased some Sierra Wireless stock after I thought that it must surely have reached a bottom, but it has continued to decline. Earnings are going to be released on Thursday after the close of the market. There seems to be strong institutional ownership of the stock. I am thinking of adding to my position prior to Thursday as the fundamentals of the Company seem at odds with the price drop. What are your thoughts on the Company?
Thank you for your consistently good advice.

Q: Hi 5i - For investors that hold Amaya with an ACB in the mid 20s, what do you suggest? Just hold tight and hope a deal doesn't go through? I've heard that analysts were projecting mid 30s over the next 12 months and I was hoping to hold this stock long term (a bit frustrating). Thanks, Neil
Q: Having been in this stk for many lean years, the recent turnaround intrigues me somewhat. I am wondering if you have any info that would account for the move up in this particular security. The other golds are not responding to the same degreee as this stock. Thank Youl.
Q: What do you think of BRE here, with its big fat yield? Would a pullback in housing prices hammer them? I'm looking for a relatively safe yield play in the real estate area. Would I be better off going to a US name?
Q: Hi Peter, I'm looking at KPT on globe Investor, and it shows a Div Pay Ratio of -1002.78. This cannot be correct?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Q: If you had to pick a gold stock that would appreciate with a rise in the price bullion, with at least a 3% dividend payout, what company would you pick?
Q: I could understand how a failed privatization would be a risk to Amaya's SP sending it back to under 15 where it was last Friday when the last 5 minutes of trading saw a huge lift on tremendous volume. What to read into this? Word was out and over the weekend Mr. Baazov figured it's happening again, like it did with Poker Stars, loose lips are blabbing and we'd better get the potential offer out there before the regulator catches wind (again). So we'll go with a semi-offer that could have used another 2 weeks to put in place and even if it doesn't fly a 20% temporary bump is nice for a 10%+ shareowner. Even if the longer term is rosy aren't there too many cockroaches appearing now and not being swatted?
Q: Could I please have your take on the latest news from this company and the new products they have acquired today?
Thank You
Garry

Q: based on all the information i can gather the chances of an offer going thru at 21.00 are almost zero, it would have to be higher, furthermore another gaming company has a high probability of making an offer.
so at 18.00 overweighting amaya seems like a great strategy, yes there is the insider probe currency risk earnings risk, but these i think were already baked into the stock.downside is amaya goes back to 15-16.
in this kind of market taking advantage of opportunties like this if it works being the key word, seems like not a bad risk/ reward. please comment. dave

Q: What would you expect the shorts to do now.
Q: Dear 5i,
For a Feb 1 question about WN vs L you mentioned that you typically prefer operating companies to holding companies. Could you clarify a bit more, please? Is it because the operating company would reap more benefits from its growth than the holding company? If so, would the opposite be true of the opposite, when the operating company does not perform well?
Thank you for your service.

Q: I'm looking for monthly retirement income. Please suggest a few of your favorite ETF'S that I could invest in that would provide me with a monthly income stream. I am hoping you can suggest investments that would yield 4% or better. I realize that to provide this kind of return I will have to accept some level of risk and I'm prepared to do this. However, I hope you can suggest some investments that are relatively safe. If you know of any other possibilities I would appreciate any guidance you can give to me.
As always, I appreciate any advice you can give to me.
