Q: JPMorgan is predicting a 50% chance of a US recession in the next 2 years. One would likely impact Canadian markets like 2008-9. I started investing in the markets this past April and was up over 6% in a short time until Trump started his tariff tirade and eventual war (plus other contributing factors) and now am down over 8%. It would seem this volatility in the markets will only get worse until it gets better. That said, if I recall correctly, BMO recently came out and predicted a TSX rebound that could hit 17,000 before EOY. I am just trying to figure out should I ride out the storm or jump ship at the next port. Based on your market update, specifically, "Investors should keep in mind this is just one quarter in a journey measured in years.", should one still consider riding out the storm?
Q: Why the big drop Friday, don't see any news?
Q: ATVI - Milan on October 15 questioned about ATVI and you said it was fine to buy. Also on October 15 there was an article that ATVI along with a joint venture with other companies were going to put 500 Veterans to work. Following that, over the next 2 days the stock dropped over 10%. Your thoughts on this drop.
TEAM - On October 19 John asked a question about the quarterly results, and you indicated you were fine with the results. Over the next 2 days, the stock dropped over 10%. How come?
Would I be better to sell ATVI and TEAM and add it to my holdings of ILMN and SQ? Thanks Dennis.

Q: My target allocation for International Equity is 20% and is made up of just two ETFs (VE and VEE). Do these two holdings provide adequate and broad enough international exposure or would you recommend any additional (or different) ETFs? How would you recommend splitting the 20% total between these holdings?
Q: Would you recommend either of these for a lazy TFSA investor? Thanks. Peter
Q: Grateful if you could update your views on Martello Tech (MTLO). In what circumstances would you consider it "a buy" and how would you limit its percentage in a growth portfolio ?
Gratefully,

Q: In your reply to my previous question you mentioned you thought Reliq Management had misrepresented revenue. My understanding was that the items to be restated comprise part or all of the Accounts Receivable as reported end of March. Is it considered misrepresentation when A/R turn out to not be collectible do to an unexpected non-reimbursement? It doesn't seem as bad or the same as when Nortel was misrepresenting, booking sales in Texas that had not actually occurred. Any detail you can provide on how analysts view these kind of snafus is appreciated.
Q: I'm considering buying BRE for a TFSA, mainly due to its consistently high Dividend (stable tax-free income). My concern though is that it generally pays out over 3 times what it earns. How can this possibly be sustainable? The way it see it, BRE essentially generates bulk of its revenue from fees (commissions) which can be low risk provided the sales continue growing. Is BRE a good choice for a TFSA at current price?
