Q: Can you give me 3 stocks you believe would earn 10% gain per year that have outdone them selves year after year? Not sure if they exist, thanks

Q: CSTL has doubled their sales force, advanced commercialization of its flagship DecisionDx-Melanoma test, and they acquired Cernostics - an early-stage diagnostic company, plus they have $300 mil in cash. The stock price is off 70% on a company that looks to have sold fundamentals. Could I have your assessment of this being a buy scenario?

Q: MAW102 has under-performed recently; methinks because it excludes the Canadian and US markets.

Should I continue to hold?

Q: In the past you have recommend ~5% towards energy. With everything going on with the O&G market and demand picture skewing positively can I assume it is okay to let this portion of a portfolio grow beyond that mark before rebalancing?

At what percentage of a portfolio would you suggest as a good ballpark to start trimming?

Added to this sector last fall and it has crept up accordingly.

Q: I am interested in buying some ARX which I would normally buy on the Canadian exchange but I am currently holding more $US cash than $Can. In the US ARX trades on the pink sheets. Are there any risks in buying it on the pink sheets? If I do buy it there, would I be able to swap it over the the Canadian side of my account with out any issues?

Q: I have a full position in LIF in unregistered accounts. Having seen todays comments in CIA, which might you prefer for a long term hold? Should I be selling all LIF to buy CIA, or split holdings, or do nothing?

Q: My question is moreless about Morningstar's numbers. I have access through my TD trading account. It indicates the Fair Value of SLF pretty much where it is, BCE at $66.64 and ATD at $46.12. I'm not sure if you share the same opinion (?)

SLF - the FV has gradually been increasing, but are projected rate hikes already priced in the present stock price? I would expect the FV to ramp up.

BCE - They show a trailing PE of 21. That, and the P/S seem historically a bit higher than normal. I think your Bloomberg info would show a future PE that may be lower...hopefully.

ATD - This one shows a trailing PE of 16, This, compared to its past, seems "quite cheap", yet the FV doesn't seem to reflect this. Agree?

So what are your thoughts? Would you say SLF, ATD and BCE are good value - in that order based on my above comments, or any opinion of your own?

Q: In yoor recent reply to my question regarding how to evaluate returns, you suggested CDZ. Thanks for that, it does seem a better comparison. Of interest, though, I did a comparison of CDZ to the TSX return, and found that the only difference over 10 years was the actual management fee of .66%.
I also appreciate your comments about risk. I had about 20% of my investment assets in "play" money, but over the last 2 or 3 years I have reduced that to essentially nothing, since - as you pointed out - an extra percent or even more would not make any difference to my lifestyle. That frees up my time, and I do sleep very well at night!
