Q: In the last few months, gold has not been doing poorly, falling back from its recent highs. I would appreciate your thoughts as to why it is not doing well, and whether you think this is just a period of consolidation, before a large upturn. I would have thought that in today's market (with forecast inflation, market and political turbulence, large government deficits) it would have supported a large increase in gold price. However, this is clearly not happening at the current time.

Your thoughts on this market dynamic would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks again for this wonderful service, and your valued advice.

Q: Would you average down and buy more AMT here? I know it is expensive on a valuation basis but is there any other fundamental issues that causes you concern? Do you think Keysight Tech would be a better way to play 5G? Thanks

Coal Island Ltd., a (former)shareholder in Hudson Resources Ltd. recently disclosed pursuant to the requirement for an "Early Warning Report" that it has 'disposed' of 18,466,827 common shares in HUD for 'gross aggregate proceeds of $2,874,526.00' through the facilities of the TSX Venture Exchange.
Does this mean that HUD bought back these shares, thus having the same effect as any normal share buy back, resulting in there being less money in the company but fewer shares outstanding and thus more value for each issued share, and would that be where the money for the transaction came from? Or would there be third party hidden in here somewhere?
Coal Island says it paid $0.15562 per share, and although the market price of this volatile stock has decreased some since the Coal Island disposition, the share price is still over .20 per share.

Q: I see ABCL is taking it on the chin today down 12% as I type this question. Since about January 1, 2021 I have been considering selling my NVTA and putting the money in ABCL but have done nothing to date. (Procrastination is sometimes the key to success)! NVTA weighting is 1.5%. 2 Questions...
Do you think ABCL has better long term prospects than NVTA and would you be interested in ABCL at +/- $31.50 USD? Or do you think I should use the basket approach and hold both?

Q: What's the reason behind the current slip of BEP.UN/BEPC and BIP.UN/BIPC? These two combos should be steady industrial stocks and not subject to the stumble currently affecting the tech stocks? I know both had been up nicely over the past year but that's no reason to reverse so sharply of late. Any insight you can share? Thanks.

Q: Question regarding Google's announcement of changes to third party cookies and your thoughts on the potential benefits this may bring for some companies. I know its affecting companies like TTD but wouldnt ROKU benefit because they have their own ecosystem and can see what people watch, search for etc. or a company like FB who can see status's, conversations, group posts about products people still share so much information plus instagram (sharing info between the two). Or a PINS who again has its own ecosystem and can use that data to sell ads on its own site... hope this makes sense.

Also as of right now with the further rotation out of growth, what are your top 5 "buy now" companies that you *could* see rebounding quite nicely when the dust settles.

Q: I am investigating buying AC playing the “ back to normal “ theme. While it’s generally agreed that the number of customers will bounce back, and possibly even exceeding previous numbers , I am trying to determine the profile of these travellers ; will business bounce as much as vacationers , what will be the favourite travel destinations, how long will it take to play out etc. ? Do you know of any links that have done an in-depth investigation into the airline industry or AC in particular? Thanks. Derek

Q: I realize the markets have been weak lately, however, UPST is down about 50% from its high. Any idea why its down so much? What do you think of the prospects of this company? Is this a buying opportunity or should I stay on the sideline?

Q: RE my question about criteria for buyable microcaps. I cannot remember anything specific to help locate this item in the feed. As an alternative, could you suggest several criteria to help deciding if a microcap is worth considering for purchase: e.g., certain level of booked revenues etc.

Q: Google has held up pretty well through the market turmoil. Would you ever sell it to buy something that has been hit hard? For example, would you sell GOOG and buy TTD?

Q: I struggle to identify and summarize reporting dates for my holdings' earnings announcements. I am using the nasdaq site, which is inefficient and sometimes incorrect. Any suggestions on how to organize or what apps might be helpful?

Q: Would large investors be upset that the current share price of $7.68 is much lower than what they agreed to pay for the financing deal ($9.80). I don’t think the stock has closed higher than the financing price.
