Q: Hi Folks,
I'm looking to make an investment in the auto parts sector. I know you tend to favour MG but I'm looking for a little more torc. I was thinking of MRE or XTC. Which would you recommend or would your prefer a half position in each?
as always, thanks for your help.

Q: Hello Peter & Team,
I'd like to inform Christianne that many engineers are also very astute business people; I guess what makes a market is a bunch of people with various opinions.

Antoine

Q: My question on MDA was not about employees but with companies and governments seeking MDA equipment and contracts. Why don't they have a business person as CEO?
Q: Hello team, Would appreciate your comments on today's earnings results.
Thank you!

Q: your thoughts and their numbers reported this a. m. thanks dave
Q: What is your opinion of this morning's QR? Are they expensive? Are they cash flow positive? Are they high risk or do they show normalized growth?
Q: Good morning All. I am contemplating returning to the oil and gas sector. From a growth point of view how would you rate in order PPY, TOU (Tourmaline), RRX (Raging River), WCP (White Cap) and TOG (Torc Oil & Gas) and why. Also from a growth and income point of view how would you rate in order TOG and WCP and why. Thanks in advance. You are doing a great job.

Q: I recently heard that MDA was run by a group of Engineers which made the company difficult to work with. Can you comment on that?
Thank you
Thank you
Q: I am down 17% on AX.UN If I include the dividend collected in cash I am down 8%. It was meant to be a long term hold. Would you recommend switching to another Reit(s) or keeping it through the oil downturn? I do understand its Alberta exposure.
Q: Hi Peter
Could I have your opinion on Imperial Metls, Buy or Sell?

Q: Most energy related stocks ended the trading day in the green today. QST is down over 7%. I see no news, can you explain the move down. Sylogist also continues to trend down I was thinking of averaging down on this one but now I am not so sure. Do you think it will recover when the Calgary market looks better.
Q: I currently hold Chartwell (CSH.UN) but am thinking of switching to Sienna (SIA) as its yield is better and its stock price growth has been better. Your thoughts on this please. I need the income but am comfortable holding if I lose on the capital side.
Q: Since you last commented on GRC on August 19, the Company has announced (1) a second big win which together with their first win adds up to proceeds of $8.8 mil which dwarfs the $2 mil of writeoffs, (2) it is collecting $400k on one of the write-offs, and (3) they have closed another deal for US$2 mil.
The stock moved up on these announcements but has settled back down. I was just wondering if these events give you more comfort in recommending this stock, which is now carrying over a 10% yield?

Q: I have an Athabaska bond (7.5% coupon; maturity 19-Nov-2017) that is currently trading below par. Given the news about the additional cash payment just received by ATH, it seems to me that they should easily be able to repay this bond upon maturity in just over two years.
Do you have any idea why this bond is trading below its par value? Is there a significant risk of default by Athabaska over such a short time period?
Thanks!

Q: I have just recently tried to find value stocks to invest in and am currently watching about 40 stocks and I would be interested to know what you consider to be the main value indicators to watch such as P/E ratio, debt to cash flow ratios, state of balance sheet etc. I would also be interested to know what indices you consider important before making a decision to buy a particular stock. For example, a P/E ratio below 20.. You may well have been asked this question before and if so please refer me to your response. Thanks

Q: Read your comments today re: the 6/30 quarter for PHM. However, since these statements are only INTERNAL, I would appreciate your opinion as to their veracity since the erstwhile Principals leave me somewhat uneasy and skeptical. Thank you.
Q: I don't understand how a (quite liquid) Closed-End Fund can have a share price that has a significant discount to NAV over an extended period. If I were to buy a fund such as EEF.US (European Equity CEF), could I expect that the current 10% discount to NAV will eventually tend to zero (or at least be significantly reduced)?
Thanks!
Thanks!
