Q: Could I please have your thoughts on an article in the Globe and Mail (july 4)with regards to CEO compensation in particular Shopify CEO with more than $25 million in salary and another $25 million in stock options in a year when the stock has lost 75% of its value. On a positive note I see CSU Mr. Leonard still owns more than 1 billion dollars in stock with no stock options.

Q: What are your thoughts on IQLT in this current environment? It does have a heavy weighting in Europe. Are you presently concerned about further deterioration of the European economy ?
Without trying to make this a question about market timing, would it be best to wait to add to one's current holdings? I am close to the desired weighting, but would like to top it up when things appear to be close to being at their worst. Wouldn't we all like to buy at the bottom ?!

Q: When looking for stripped bond offerings on my broker's screen, I can see an entry named Sagen Mi Canada that offer's a good yield with a credit rating of AH/BBB+. I know nothing of this company. Would you have any insight on the matter, or should i just keep passing on it?
Thank you
Thank you
Q: Just curious your thoughts on getting tech exposure. Could you please provide your preference (not individual names) on a basic etf like TEC or the covered call strategy? Pros and Cons of each one if you could please.
Q: Is the share price the total return, or are reinvested distributions in addition to the share price ?
Q: I'm 50% down on both of these companies. I'm ready to throw in the towel on either if not both. Do you believe they will recover in the next 2 years? Would you rather sell one and buy the other, would you just hold for now, or would you sell both and buy something else? Take as many credits as needed. Thanks
Q: With mortgage rates increasing and housing becoming less affordable would now be a time to buy IIP.UN and TCN.
Q: Thoughts on the deal?
Q: Hello 5i team,
Would you recommend this stock in one of the portfolios in the future?
Andrew

Q: Hello 5I,
I own the above 2 companies and am down 25% and 40% respectively. Just wondering if you still believe in these 2 companies and think they are worth sticking around for.
Thanks

Q: I am a retired investor with some room for growth in our portfolio.
I 'like' MKSI, am underwater on my investment, and recognize the challenges the chip sector has been and is facing. I would appreciate 5i's thoughts on this firm's solid long term potential for profitable growth.
What does 5i 'see' in the delay in acquiring Atotech? How important does 5i view the acquisition to MKSI's strategic position?
Given the importance of the China market, does 5i see MKSI proceeding with the acquisition without China's approval?
Would 5i recommend selling the shares for a tax loss now, with a view to buying them back in 30 days?
Thank you for your comments.
Edward

Q: If you go back in time anywhere from today to a few months, a lot of stocks have a previous low whereas with NVDA and AMD it is not the case, they continue to make lower lows for a lot longer than a few months ago. Have you got a reason why? SW has been performing very well for quite some time but I didn't buy it because 5i has not been too fond of it. Is this still the case? Thank you
Q: What would be safe bond ETFs with decent dividends for the next 2 or 3 years.
-
Alphabet Inc. (GOOG)
-
iShares U.S. Technology ETF (IYW)
-
Nuvei Corporation Subordinate Voting Shares (NVEI)
Q: Good Morning. In your response to Mike this morning you stated: "NVEI is slightly cheaper than a large-cap tech name such as GOOG (one of IYW's top holdings), but NVEI has a much stronger growth profile, but at the cost of longevity uncertainty." Did you mean that NVEI has a much stronger growth profile than GOOG or IYW ?
Thank you,
Dennis

Q: Everyone, I never believed the multiple at $160 per share and I don’t believe the multiple at $25 per share. What is the appropriate multiple for today and one year from today. I have held the stock since the summer of 2019 and I have added many times since. I believe the strategic plan the company has changed for the better, with added features to the software. Clayton

Q: Hi Peter,
Everything is down these days…..
I have a bunch of Shopify, and FB
Your thoughts on getting rid of SHOP and FB and move that money to GOOG ?
Do you think SHOP and FB will come back ?
Your suggestions on what to buy on selling SHOP and FB ? Something that is down and has more upside and better fundamentals….
Thanks

Q: Since I have no interest in fossil energy stocks and don't need Real Estate stocks since I hold properties. Where should I overweight to get a decent weighting in other categories?

Q: Hi!
I got into CIX a few months ago at around $20. I am happy to hold and wait to break even at least. Would you be able to suggest how long that will wait will be? Also, are the fundamentals still in place for CIX for the market to pay $20 for CIX.
Not to worry...it wasn't a massively concentrated position or anything! : )

Q: I live in a city where every other car seems to be a Tesla. I noticed on teslas loan page that they only deal with the three banks mentioned above when it comes to financing.
Will this materially move the needle for any of these institutions in the long run?
Thanks
