Q: wondering your thoughts on this company- lots of cash and a growing divi. thanks !
Q: I am watching as the weed stocks decrease in this downturn. Just wondering what you think would be a good entry point for Canopy Growth Corp? I only want the largest of CDN companies.....let me know if you like others as well. At the time of writing this the stock is down to just over $35.00. 52 week high is 76.68.....I realize that valuations are pretty skewed with weed stocks.......just looking for a guide here.
Q: Hi, I'd love some feedback on this company. Looking forward their potential seems great, and partnerships smart. One project, the Delta greenhouse at an eventual 2.2 million sq ft would place it near Canopy Growth for production, throw in Houweling's involvement and it looks promising. I have a long term outlook and don't mind the risk here.
Thanks in advance!

Q: Hi All:
Hope you all have been enjoying the X'mas season. Happy 2019 to each one of you!
I noticed the cost per unit on the monthly statement changes sometimes for the ETFs I own. I own another one other than ZBK. I wonder what makes it change? When I sell them should I use the cost per unit on the monthly statement as ACB? If I sell part of it that I should use that month cost per unit to calculate the ACB?
Thank you.
Louisa

Q: Earlier this Fall, ahead of the recent correction, I moved 12% of my portfolio to cash (I was fully invested in equities). My thought is to hold the cash until we hit the top of the ongoing interest rate increases the deploy the cash into corporate bonds, BBB or higher, spread over 2-6 years maturity. Recent reports have maybe another 2 rate increases in 2019. Given this has been signalled to the market do you think bond yields are already accounting for this?
Q: Hello Peter, Ryan, and Team,
I sold some holdings in my margin account to take advantage of tax loss selling. My Industrial allocation needs to be increased, and I'm considering purchasing CNR, as a large-cap holding that's recently been beaten down. Our other Industrial holdings across all accounts are BAD, CAE, NFI, SIS, STN, and TFII. Would CNR complement our other industrials? Or do you have other suggestions?
Thanks as always, and Season's Greetings to everyone at 5i.

Q: hi there,
i know that BCI is an odd trader especially with the low volumes. However it seems to be down in an up market - is there any news i missed? It has been a very stable stock to own through all the market girations and i was looking to slowly add to my position unless i missed something.
Cheers

Q: I have MFT as my fixed income holding. I have noticed that it is dropping and at the same time VAB is rising. What would cause this to happen and is it time to swap to VAB or have both in my portfolio?
Thanks and have a great holiday!

iShares S&P/TSX Canadian Dividend Aristocrats Index ETF (CDZ)
-
Vanguard U.S. Dividend Appreciation Index ETF (VGG)
Q: Hi there, can you please recommend a good dividend based ETF.
Q: My wife and I are retired with no company pensions. We focus in our Non-Reg'd. Investment a/c on solid dividends with dividend growth (banks, SLF, BCE, major pipelines, BEP.UN, SU, etc). I would like to add another quality name in our Inv. a/c that would be resilient in an economic slowdown (and ideally has been beaten down). Considering TRI but it "feels" expensive. Is there something better? We would appreciate your recommending a few names. Thank you for your comments. Edward
Q: I was wondering if 5i has done much ground truthing when it comes to Alcanna Inc. With my experiences at their stores, have gotten impression that staff working there are pretty unknowledgeable with what's going on with there company, well as with product they sell, ie: booze. Does someone test company out from a customers perspective before recommending a stock.
Q: As AGT trades further below the offer price, does it become a potential buy? It seems unlikely that the $18 offer will meet with positive response from majority of shareholders (unless of course share price somehow drops below $14 or so in the mean time).
What are the odds, do you think, of a higher offer if the first one fails?
Any chance the offer isn't genuine and just intended to support the share price until financials improve?

Q: I am a Money Saver Subscriber and have just read your 5i edition. Rani wrote a very good article on the Marijuana sector. I did really well in the sector as I unloaded in JAN2018 when the bragging started. I am interested in FIRE after reading the article. I see from previous questions that FIRE was not on the radar. It is now. What changed? What was the price at the time the article was written? Thank you. Jeff
Q: what is your current view on MFT - article in Globe recently was drawing attention to the leveraged loans used in floating rate mutual funds and ETFs as becoming a lot more risky in this environment - your opinion please - thanks - Karen
Q: Good days,
