Q: A recent new guest to BNN’s Market Call made Saputo a top pick. He seemed to have quite a breadth of knowledge on the company and made (to me) a compelling case for Saputo having the potential to do well from its current valuation and that there was too much pessimism on the company and seemed to see a viable path to recovery in areas that have been lagging since the pandemic and a return to previous margins that could support multiple expansion. It seemed a bit contrarian based on momentum and other factors possibly at play right now with respect to tariffs etc., and also interesting as a top pick he will be faced with defending in a years time. Any thoughts since the last question a few months ago (I think you didn't like the momentum but found it was getting “interesting”)?

Q: Do you think the insiders have a solid track record and have enough "skin in the game"? Do you think they have enough capital for the next couple of years to execute their plans or would you be expecting routine dilutive offerings over the next five years? Your thoughts on the pros and cons of this company please.
Q: Can you walk through possible reactions of the market when NBIS reports next. Given that the financials are reflecting both the old Yandex and the very new NBIS there is a severe disconnect and fog about what is happening.
Who is buying the stock now and will the market be able to sort out a clear picture of a stock which will apparently show a dramatic drop in revenue in the report.

Q: with all the talk about trump forever talking about that there are no u.s. banks in canada [wrong] do you see that this could stall growth of canadian banks in canada in future. Bns and td have already been hit hard the last couple of years and being a bank holder for the dividends in canada and him always talking about this do you see any merit in this. Sure seems to be picking on canada the last couple of weeks

Q: Hi 5i Team,
I'm curious about your thoughts on sentiment turning against US equities in the coming months. I'm already exhausted seeing all the foolish tweets and news clips coming out of the Trump administration and I have to believe many others are too. Trump 2.0 seems much worse than 1.0! Also, I've been hearing that European markets are already outpacing the US market so far this year and I'm wondering if the US market deserves its current valuation given the increased volatility and increased risks?
I own many US stocks (e.g., 5 of the Mag 7, COST, ISGR, HD, TT, SYK, RS, ZS, HON, V) and I'm thinking for the first time of selling/trimming some of these. I would look to increase my dividend-paying Canadian stocks to generate more income. I'm also thinking about European dividend payers?
I'd appreciate your general views along with any comments you might have related to selling/trimming some of the stocks I've mentioned above. I'd look to sell into the end of this month and buy favourite TSX dividend payers (e.g., ENB, SLF, CNQ, BEP.UN, BIP.UN, T) or others you might suggest after the next tariff decision in early March.
Like many members, I have to thank you again for the wonderful service you provide. Your Q&A section and market reviews are fabulous, especially during difficult times! I also realize this is a long question and the answers are worth more than one credit.

P.s. I had registered to attend this week's webinar which may have answered some of my questions. Unfortunately, something came up over lunch and I missed the webinar. Please let me know if there's a chance of catching a replay.

Q: It’s getting more difficult to stay positive on PBH. I know that better things are expected after recent Capex but share price keeps falling. Are you still optimistic or is it time to sell

Q: Good morning,
I have read a fair bit on PLTR and would like your opinion on it's future prospects and what you think of the companies balance sheet/debt ect..
Could PLTR be like Tesla or Netflix from the early 2000's? I remember looking at both of those companies and stocks and at the time using a value approach and just couldn't buy them prices were 24$ and 16$ at the time, those were some missed opportunities. Could PLTR be that or is it a GAME STOP stock?
Thanks

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
Across all accounts, our holdings in the Financial Sector include BN, FFH, GSY, MFC, SLF, and the CEW ETF. I feel that this is a fairly good representation but realize that the Canadian banking sector is quite low, and the US banking sector is non-existent in our portfolio. Portfolio Analytics indicates that we need more exposure in this sector.
Several questions; please deduct question credits accordingly.
1. TipRanks shows that BN has a P/E ratio of 125.13. Can this be true?
2. A recent question from a 5i member asked about Sagicor SFC, which prompted me to investigate it further. I realize that it’s a small-cap stock, but noticed that for the 3 month, 6 month, and year-to-date periods, it has excellent momentum (which I know you like) and has a really low P/E ratio of 1.51, which I assume to be correct.
3. Because I feel that Trump tariffs are more of a possibility than not, I’m in the process of adjusting some sectors but not all, in case the tariffs don’t happen.
4. Would you endorse a small holding in SFC, (say a half-position) using proceeds from the sale of more tariff-vulnerable stocks?
5. Finally, could you suggest some Canadian-domiciled ETFs that would give us needed exposure to both the Canadian and US banking sector?
As always, thanks for your assistance that helps us to make informed decisions.

Q: Now that CTS will be taken over. What would you put the proceeds into for small cap growth

A & W Food Services of Canada Inc. (AW)
Q: Good morning. I will need to raise some cash soon. I have picked AW, ATH, CPD and SYZ to head to the chopping block. In what order would you sell? Thanks for everything you do for us.
Q: Looking for an updated opinion on Titanium, are either the potential of tariffs or dividend cut enough to stay clear?
Q: If you didn't have a full position in GSY-T, would you add on recent weakness? What is your long term view of this company?
Q: Any stock suggestions for replacement of BCE.
Q: Regarding BCE under performance. In your opinion do you think a CEO replacement is in order and might rejuvenate the stock price and give investors more confidence in management. It seems to me that the current CEO is "reaching" for growth by looking South to a more competitive market and it won't end well. Has the board at BCE ever replaced their CEO? If I understand correctly the CEO said the dividend was not going to change in 2025 and from your last post you stated the board might reduce it. Am I incorrect or is this another example of misinformation from the current CEO?
