Q: Hi, I’m a young professional and just getting started in ETF/stock investing. I’m hoping that you can recommend one Canadian ETF, one international ETF and one stock (preferably one of the big banks or another high dividend paying option). My risk tolerance is medium considering that I may want to sell in 1-3 years for a down payment on a house. Thanks!

Q: Hi,
I may have timed out in my last attempt to ask this question so please ignore it if it's still in the queue.
I'm looking to add either PBH or ATD.B. I currently only own Loblaws in this space. Do you have a preference for a long term hold in an RRSP account?
Thank you,
Robert
PS. Love the ability to tag my favourite Q&As.

Q: Hi Team,
What in your opinion are the best (4 or 5) growth REIT (if any?) and real estate companies available for inclusion in a cash account and why?
Thanks, Gilles

iShares S&P/TSX Canadian Preferred Share Index ETF (CPD $13.49)
-
iShares Convertible Bond Index ETF (CVD $17.76)
Q: You had recently mentioned that you prefer CVD over CPD currently. Can you please explain the difference between the two and why you prefer CVD at this time.
Thank you
Thank you
Q: Hi Peter and Team,

Q: Technicals are not to bad, could go lower as anything else in this market. I'm wondering your thoughts on this stock as to dividend and fundamentals.Thank you in advance Barry
Q: Today BCI went up 0.66 cents (2.10%) and the volume was only 344, why do you think?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Just a follow-up to my previous question: Yes, I understand I have to click "daily" or "weekly", whatever my preferred option is. However, the question remains: are these questions actually sent to our inboxes, via email, or are they simply filtered into the "My Watchlist" section? If they are meant to be sent to us directly, I am not receiving them. Thanks.

-
Raging River Exploration Inc. (RRX $5.99)
-
Kinaxis Inc. (KXS $196.15)
-
Canexus Corporation (CUS $1.64)
Q: Hi, thanks very much for the 17% gain in just 7 weeks with CUS!! I have this in my TFSA and am now considering selling and replacing it with either RRX, HCG, KXS or DBO. Assuming diversification is not an issue, which do you see as the best upside potential? Or is it better to hold CUS for a little longer?
Thanks again! Ian
Thanks again! Ian
Q: Hello 5i team,
Could you shed some light on the recent comments by Alain Bouchard regarding Bay Street's opposition to extending the dual share structure while Prem Watsa just got the OK to extend the dual share structure; what is the conflict here? and how would this affect me as a shareholder?
Thanks,
Antoine

Q: Concordia has been acting very poorly for quite some time, especially since their last earnings report. Is it still being associated too much with VRX or is there something else? (i.e management compensation) I do not want to exit my position as this seems so cheap based on forward earnings. I know they have a ton of debt but this should be managed based on their forecasts. Is this just a case of the market being short sighted?
Q: I hold XHY and XSH in my wife's RRSP. Which of the above would you prefer as an addition? I notice CVD is thinly traded compared to CPD. Another option would be to add to XHY to bring it to a seven percent weighting. Thank you.
Q: I'm wondering why a trading halt would last for so long when the news is already out, and it's something as benign as preliminary discussions after being approached by another party. Is there something else coming?
Q: What did you think of Winpak's earnings, prospects and forecasted earnings growth?
According to today's quarterly report, is Winpak's (WPK) current cash balance 169.5 million or 169.5 million minus 47.4 million. I'm having a little difficulty understanding that paragraph and determining its current cash position.
Thanks.
John

Q: I own these shares in my portfolio for some growth and income. FTS has dropped sharply in the past couple days, instead gaining because of the deals they have done. I like to have your opinion as to how safe they are? Would I be better of trading them for ETFs like ZUT and ZWU as they seem less volatile. Perhaps you can suggest alternatives. I would also like your view weather to buy ENB or ENF or another pipeline stock. I like the new format, my apologies for my previous comment of finding confusing.
Many thanks, J.A.P, Burlington

Q: Does this seem like a good entry point for Winpak? It looks to me the sell-off is a little excessive.
Thanks for your great service and congratulations on your "new look".

Q: This is a double for me thanks to 5i. Is it time to let go or just trim.
