Q: The superfoods/suppliments/proteins etc seems to be an area dominated by private companies is there anyway to invest in them? The costs of these seems foods seem exorbitant, so the margins must be huge..like pharma but without the risks of trials etc..How does one get into this action? Any companies you would recommend? Thanks.

Q: What do you think about Alcoa? Is this a good time to buy?
Q: I often see or hear questions relative to with holding tax on US companies held within an RRSP or RIF.
The reply confirms that they are not taxed however, with no reference to exceptions.
Unfortunately experience tells me to be careful of ADR's and Limited Partnerships as they ARE subject to tax with no way to recover as foreign tax paid. Both of these are not considered US companies in the tax agreement between Revenue Canada and the US Department of Revenue.
Please comment on whether I am wrong and if there are other types of holdings that I am not aware.
Thanks

Q: What is your opinion of this company?
Q: Hello 5i, Can I get your analysis on PBH? I started buying over a yr ago and now it's up over 40%. Unfortunately I have not reached my full position and yet is now at the 5% weighting in my portfolio. From your analysis has it reached full value? It's EPS seems a little high for it's growth rate now? I do not plan to sell it as I like to invest for the long term. My folio has Utilities, Reits, Financials, Tech, Small % of Resource and Energy. Should I keep on accumulating on dips or wait for the valuation to catch up with the price?
Thank you for your service.

Q: Hi Peter Ryan & 5i Team
US looks interesting with the Donald at the helm. Do you have an idea for two or three US Small Caps poised for explosive growth.
Thank you

Q: Hi,
I know US stocks are not your area but I need any advice you can give me. I own IDXX and it has done extremely well. Im interested in similar US companies, ALGN and Cooper companies. Between those two, do you like either? Im a medium risk, long term investor.

Q: I understand this may be a question you're not comfortable dealing with, so I'm prepared. However if you are OK with it: do you think Scotia Itrade's sustainable investing tools actually work? It's something I'm interested in, and would consider switching brokers for, but not if this is just a sales gimmick. Thank you.

BMO US High Dividend Covered Call ETF (ZWH $23.53)
Q: Do you have opinions on the three BMO dividend ETF's noted and about covered call etf's in general--zwc (canada), zwe (europe), zwh (usa)?
Q: I am a 30yr old long term investor with a Canadian portfolio leaning towards growth. Consumer (cyclical and non cyclical) account for approx 10% and would like to increase this to approx 20%. I currently hold ATD(4%), MTY (4.5%), TOY (1.7%), and would like to selectively add over the next few months to achieve my target of 20%. How would you suggest i achieve this? Would you add to current names? Add a position or half position off my watch list (ZZZ,DRT,SHOP)? Or do you have any other names that you feel would fit in better? Since i plan on having these holdings long term i would also appreciate your opinion on entry point or if you think i should avg in once you have answered the questions above. I appreciate your service and feel free to deduct as many credits as necessary.
Q: I am trying to run a slightly more concentrated portfolio. There are currently 37 individual equity positions; 4 equity ETFs (VIG, IWO, XGD, ZRE); and 4 bond ETFs. Within the utility sector there are 5 positions, each at ~2% (BIP.UN, BEP.UN, FTS, ALA, PPL). I would like to cull either ALA or PPL. I am leaning towards selling PPL, as ALA looks to have a better 5 yr dividend growth rate and appears to have more of a focus on renewable energy. Any input would be most appreciated. Thank-you.
Q: Peter,
I would be interested in your opinion of DUG at this time.

Q: Hello,
We have these two companies in my child RESP from the split last year. Which one do you has the potential for better growth over the next 3 to 5 years?
Would you advise selling one and use the proceeds to buy the other? If yes, which one would you keep and why?
Thank you for the usual awesome service.

Q: I'm sitting on a loss in CPG in a taxable account, would it make sense to sell it all, write off the loss and replace it with VET? Thanks.
