Q: With all of the wizards running to keep their pensions, a platform has been used as another campaign promise, ie to legislate something like a 25% reduction in cell phone rates.
Although they haven't been elected and will certainly will not get a majority this time around I would like you to please give us your analysis of what would happen to T and BCE in the long shot chance this becomes legislation?
Thanks
Sheldon

Q: I am a retired, conservative dividend income investor. I own CGX, primarily for income. I believe management clearly understands its investor pool, who are there for the dividend.
Why the 3.7% drop today? Do you still consider the dividend to be safe? Would you add more at these current levels?
Thanks for your help...Steve

Q: What are your thoughts about iAnthus? It had a good run when the whole cannabis sector was doing well and has pulled back since April, 2018. Might be a good time to get back in.
Q: This company appears to be profitable with what looks like a high powered executive team. They also appear to be well positioned for growth in both production and sales. Given all the carnage in the cannabis industry, what are your thoughts on its revenue/profitability and potential as an investment.

Q: Greetings 5i
I have made a tidy profit in CCL.B over the past few years and I now realize I let it grow too large in my cash account. Recently, of course, CCL has been sliding down. My holding in it now amounts to 5.2% of my total Canadian cash account. Conversely, I have SLF that has being doing well but now stands at 7.4% which I realize is too high.
What weighting should I aim for with both SLF and CCL in a cash account that I am working on getting into proper focus and balance?
Two questions.Please deduct appropriate credits.
Thanks
Peter

Q: Palo Alto has identified Zscaler as their competition and ripped the company somewhat on an earnings call. The CEO of Zscaler fired back on CNBC with comments such as the below. My question is whether this is a buy with potential based on your knowledge and comments below. It has gone from nearly $90 to $51 in a few months despite seemingly doing well.
"Zscaler, which came public in the first half of 2018, offers cloud security software for IT professionals to monitor network traffic and protect data. The company surprised analyst estimates by turning a small profit in four straight quarters.
Revenue grew by more than 53% in its July quarter and is expected to near $90 million in the current quarter, according to FactSet.
“The market is coming to us. We’re seeing a lot of growth,” Chaudhry said. “We crossed 400 off the Global 2,000 companies as our customers, so [we are] very bullish about the opportunity.”

Q: Hello, What are your thoughts on Pershing Square holdings. They seem fairly cheap. I am considering starting a small position. I believe I could purchase it only in the OTC markets in north America (PSHZF). Please correct me if I am wrong. They have now rebounded well after the issues with Valeant and Herbalife..I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks. Shyam
Q: I own shares of AABA. Not exactly sure of their announcement of dissolution of the fund. should I sell my shares?
Q: Hi Team , a couple of questions on EIC. Could you please give the latest short positions?
The company recently held an investor day in Garland Texas, to showcase their new window plant. Some sell side investors have reset their target price @ 55 bucks with consensus @ 46 dollars. That's a 15% upside. Do you think this will happen? Not sure if any time frame has been mentioned. Thanks Guys!

Q: I was reading Norm Rothery's article on the "hot potato" portfolio strategy. As you know it involves investing in one of four etf's based on the previous year's best performance. The asset classes are Canadian Bond Index, S&P/TSX Composite Index, S&P 500 and MSVI EAGE Index. I have to do a little more research on this strategy but should I decide to allocate a small investment here, what 4 specific etf's would you recommend?

Q: As a long term (15 years) shareholder, I am in the money. But, despite what appear to be solid metrics and reasonable growth and a fairly broad book of business, the stock goes nowhere and is not followed by analysts. Daily volume is generally thin. The dividend appears secure. Is it worth continuing to hold?
