Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I am seeing Buy ratings if not top picks on Boeing and wonder what 5i thinks about it. My question is whether or not you think most of the downside is priced in? What could cause a plunge (another accident obviously) but would a huge lawsuit against the company be something that isn't priced in? I have to think a leg up will occur when the Max 8 lifts off again. Please advise if you would buy and whether you agree with the thoughts above.

Q: Good Afternoon,
I currently hold some TSGI shares in my TFSA and with the recent rally I'm almost back to even ( I know not a great investment strategy trying to break even). With the concern of increased regulatory risk around the takeover I am considering selling and jumping into QSR? According to the charts looks like support is in the $86 range and could turn around and challenge the recent high of around $106? If it breaks this could run to $128 technically speaking. The name looks interesting with Burger King and Popeye's, not so much Tim Horton's. Thoughts on this as a trade? Or perhaps sell TSGI and get into IPL or ENB, ENB looks like it's breaking out?
Thank-you

Q: Do you fine people feel that BEP.un could be an acquirer of INE should BEP's valuation continue to defy gravity thanks to climate change hysteria and trendy SRI mandates?

Q: Hi 5i team,

Back to AMRN. I thought they hit a home run yesterday with a unanimous (16 to 0) vote of the Advisory Committee to approve an expanded label use of Vascepa for treating various heart-related conditions, which should give them access to a much larger patient population base. However, the market is not so sure as the response is very muted at least so far today, and that may change. I took a small position to manage risk as I expected a big move one way or the other. I recognize this still has to go to the full FDA in a few weeks, but I understand that the FDA seldom overturns a strong endorsement of the AdCom. Am I missing something here in the muted market response?

Thanks again.
Dave

Q: Hi Team,

I am trying to help a family member with a simple solution for investing in stocks in their RRSP account. Im leaning towards VT due to no withholding taxes but I would like your opinion as well. Im thinking currency diversification is a good thing with VT too as there are other Canadian holdings (XDIV) in their TFSA.

Thanks
