Q: In what way is it advantageous to buy VEE vs. the underlying VWO? VEE indicated yield is 2.16%, VWO is 2.62%.
I realize one is Canadian listed, the other American, and it may depend on the holding account. Please explain the mechanics.
Thanks, love your service.

Q: Two Questions:

1. BofA downgraded TIXT from a Buy to Underperform. Anything triggering this in particular?

2. TCS took a good hit today. Anything going on of concern other than market rolling out of growth?

Thanks, Carl

Q: Hi 5i,

I currently have an RESP for my two daughters. Questrade is charging us $50 every time we pull money out to pay for tuition, etc. That makes it four times a year.

We have used up the EAP portion so I'm thinking of pulling all the money out at once and transferring it to one of my daughter's TFSA account (there is room). the cost of totally divesting it is $100 but then we'll be mercifully done with the fees.

After that, I believe we can split it between the two daughters and take it out without any fees involved.

Do you see any problems with this strategy or can you suggest any better way of handling it?

Feel free to make it a public question or not depending on whether it would be of interest to other clients.

Q: Morning,
Your opinion. Will the European stock markets play catchup to the North American markets in 2022?

Q: Do you feel that CSE and NEO pose any kind of threat to TMX dominance both near term and more importantly long term? Increasingly I’m noticing more and more companies exclusively listed on either CSE or NEO especially ETFs. I ask because TMX seems to be range bound for quite some time now and was wondering if the growing presence of these new exchanges perhaps have investors concerned especially after the recent takeover of NEO by a larger American company with significant financial resources.

Q: Hi 5i,
It’s been a while since a question on VIAC. Over the past week or so, I have seen several analysts turn positive on VIAC for 2022. It is viewed as cheap on a PE and PS basis. Analysts say it has a lot of content which is really undervalued by the market and that its streaming service has good potential. It does have a lot of debt.
That’s those guys. What are your current views?

Thanks again.

Q: With the market rotation and possible interest rates impacting growth stock valuations.

Is ARKK becoming hit too hard to ignore?

What would be your top ETF plays for today and the next 2-3 years? I've been riding semi's.

This is an added boost for my portfolio which is otherwise balanced.

Thank you very much!!!

Q: Good Morning,

I have a question about data entry of 'cost basis'. Do I input the cost per share, or the cost of all the shares? For instance, if I put down that I have 2 shares of XYZ and I purchased each share for $50.00, do I put $50.00, or $100.00 in the 'cost basis' column?

Regards,

Ryan
